BiXPower DC Power Cable with On/Off Switch and 5.5 x 2.5mm Male to Female Connectors

I bought this for my monoprice mini delta as it has a super loud fan and no power switch. The reason for the 1 star is the failure method. You would think it is a simple switch, so it would fail either open or closed, but somehow this has an intermittent failure. I was printing several long prints, and after about 2 hours the machine would flicker, canceling the print. I took the printer apart thinking it was the machine and only found it was the switch 3-4 cycles through. For some reason it had failed partially the rocker stopped working. Failure is understandable, but this was used only when I had something to print, maybe a couple dozen times.

At first glance, I though this was going to be a superior product. After all, the wire and connectors looked robust. I really liked the socket has extra rubber that envelops a plug when inserted.However, the cable was so stiff that when trying to dress it in place, the switch housing started separating at one end. This in turn caused power to rapidly turn on & off to my hard drive as the cable was moved.

I only run my external HD when doing backups and the Seagate came with no switch, so this handy switch allows me to turn it off and on and needs (after proper shut down/eject of course.)
