I went through several hot water bottles before I finally found this one. All the other bottles I tried had a terrible chemical smell, or else a rubber smell, which would not go away no matter how many times I rinsed out the bottles. The smell on the others is very toxic and I could not use them. Anyway, I love this unit. It stays warm for a very long time and is non-toxic. I have had no leaks. I fill it up using hot tap water.

I have Raynauds disorder, poor circulation in feet and legs. Placed warm bags, 2, in bed at feet and leg height. Kept bed toasty all night! Great! However, I have very petite, arthritic hands and found it difficult to hold and carry these firm bags.

I bought two of these hot water bottles and if I had written this review a month after purchasing, it would have been very positive. I really liked the product but after a year and more heavily used this winter, the zippers on both started giving out. This seems to be a design problem because they failed in the same way. A small metal thread popped out at the end of the zipper. It was sharp and one put a hole in my sheet and the other cut my finger. So I would definitely say this is also a safety issue. I had hoped it was just the first one but the other gave out in exactly the same way a couple of weeks later. Very disappointed.

Nice quality and good cover. Sometimes the pressure can build inside the bags and the cap can leak.

lovely fleece sleeve, but obviously very firm bottle in comparison to a malleable rubber one. honestly thought it would retain heat longer- did a lil test and used my old rubber bottle that was uncovered & this new bottle with sleeve, and the rubber bottle stayed warmer longer somehow? still nice at the end of the bed, but not perfect for cramp relief .. for me at least .

It does keep water hot in the bottle and the sleeve is nice and soft, but the bag is made of a hard plastic and doesn’t conform to your body. i was hoping for a soft malleable bag.
