Simply all you need for an uncomplicated mobile phone
Our landline is now connected to the broadband router. That, coupled with a need for a mobile phone for a non IT literate person sent us in search of a phone that would sit on a cradle in the house and be taken outside. This was perfect. Great display, easy to use functions and set up. Having a cradle ensures it is charged up and the battery is a great specification. The phone is small and light compared to many smart phones and therefore not cumbersome in a handbag. Being 4g is makes it future proof. Represents good value for money for anyone not needing smartphone functionality.

Works well.
Elderly relative needed to replace his phone after many years. This fitted the bill perfectly - a few minor differences in how to work it as opposed to his old one, but the standard layout of everything meant that they 'got it' pretty quickly. It's only being used for calls and texts, and they cope well as it's a fairly big screen and definite response buttons.

Big buttons
Bought phone for my elderly father. Mostly simple for him to use once I'd found out how to work it as the instructions are poor. However as he will only be making and receiving calls, other functions are not important to him. It is very similar to a standard cordless phone for a landline, which he is very used to using. Buttons are good size and the charging cradle is also a good feature. Battery life difficult to assess as I've insisted he puts it into the cradle to recharge every night.

Not easy to use especially for elderly
Firstly the documentation that comes with the phone is less than useless. It would have been more helpful if there was not documentation included box. Who ever wrote the documentation needs to be properly retrained how to write accurate documentation.Examples:Add a contact - documentation states to select“Add contact” from Contacts menu - the problem is that this DOES NOT WORK. The correct process is - select Add contact, then select Phone or SIM, then select NAME, then select 5 and only then can you enter a name of your choice and select SAVE. After saving the name scroll down to MOBIlE and select 5 Then you can enter the number and SAVE.“Send a message” - select “Messaging” then “Write a Message” then “New SMS” then you have to select “Insert Contact Name” and then you have to type the name of the contact and then scroll down and select the name - I should say that as long as you are not selecting the first contact in the list you can scroll down and select the required Name and it will just select that name - BUT - if you just select the first name in the list it will select all contact names - you have to type in the name if it is the first name in the list. This is just scratching the surface - the other functions are just as bad - it is a COMPLETE NIGHTMARE to set up and then just as bad to useOnly functions that are straight forward are pressing the Green button to answer the phone and the Red button to hang upThere is NOTHING STRAIGHT FORWARD about this phoneI am not sure if other manufacturers phones are the same as this or not - but at £44 I do not find this good value for money ….. as it will cause high Blood pressure for anyone trying to use the phoneMy advice is to AVOID buying this phone

QUALITY AND AFFORDABILITY
I recently got the ukuu 4G VoLTE Big Button Mobile Phone, and I’m genuinely impressed with how practical and easy-to-use it is. The large buttons and clear display make it perfect for seniors or anyone who wants a simple phone without the complexity of a smartphone. The loudspeaker is surprisingly good, and the SOS button is a fantastic feature for emergencies, providing extra peace of mind.

Good product, requires more accurate instructions
This appears to be a good, simple phone for basic use. It is designed to be accessible and user-friendly, with large print on the buttons, a clear, bright screen, an amplified speaker, an in-built torch and a special SOS button. The casing is pleasingly hand-sized and quite lightweight. The rear cover feels very flimsy so care is required when removing it to insert a SIM card or battery. The supplied charging dock, cable and power adapter are of good quality.Unfortunately, the supplied instructions seem to let the product down. They state, "Please use a standard SIM card" but then go on to indicate standard cards are not supported. It appears the phone only supports the use of a Nano SIM card, but the product description on Amazon does not make this clear. My dad's current pay-as-you-go phone has a standard SIM card without smaller pop-out sizes, so before he can use the Ukuu phone, he will first need to buy a new SIM.Battery life should be quite good you can expect several days of use on a single charge. The phone also supports the use of a micro-SD card for media storage and has several basic apps including a radio.
