This is a huge bar of soap, my husband cut it down into thirds to use easier. He really does love the smell of it and says it cleans better then other brands of soap.I will have to add that while my husband likes the smell of it, I’m not a fan. Personally smells like one of my great aunts who was older and smoked. My husband laughed and started reading the package more and on the side it says about “the scents of old leather mixed with fresh tobacco leaves”. So maybe that’s why it smells to me the way it does as far as smoke.All in all the company does make a really good product and my husband ordered another bar of their soap in a different scent to try out once he’s done with this one. His plan is to try each out to see what he likes the best.For the Fresh Cut Pine….my husband likes the smell of it and I agree this one smells the best so far. He is still going to try out the other scents and when he does I’ll let you know what they smell like. This one is a refreshing smell and not over powering. Can’t honestly compare it to anything like another type of soap just because it has its own smell. My husband can’t figure out what to compare it to either.

Tbf I have a sensitivity to fragrance. I thought since this had such great reviews it would be good but the smell is not leathery to me at all. It’s a bit sweet actually which I’m not fond of. I haven’t been able to bring myself to use it for this reason and since it’s huge that’s a shame. I’m going to make myself use this bar up anyway to not waste it but if you are sensitive to fragrance this is not for you.*******Update: so I started using the soap and while I still don’t get leather, I do get a whiff of the leaf and it’s a nice smell not too strong and it lathers well and does a good job. I was wrong and raised my star rating. The smell is very light and did not give me headaches despite my being sensitive to strong artificial smells. I’m going to get a couple others to stock up for a few months.

This is my brand, now. That should say it all.The size of this thing is 2nd to none, it lasts forever and the (not included) scrubby hanger luffah bag thing they sell is a must have. The scent is fantastic (Leaf & Leather), as I've gone ahead and adopted it as my default fragrance throughout the day. The dry cologne is a great supplement to keep it going throughout the day.Look, it's soap. It cleans dirt off my body and smells good. Lasts forever. Price point is above Zest or Irish Spring, but only you can decide if the juice is worth the squeeze. I think it is. I'll stick with my new scent, it's been treating me well.

My first thoughts after opening the box of Leather and Leaf was the smell was a little much. Too much leaf not enough leather even.After using the soap I am impressed. The smell isn’t as intense after using. Just right.The bar is huge and a little hard to keep a handle on in the shower. I recommend making sure you have a good place to store it while not using.I was intrigued by the scrub pouch, but read some review where it turned the bar into mush. I could totally see that happening.I want to try the THICK body wash next.

I use nothing but Duke Cannon soaps anymore. I think they're quite easily the best of the specialty men's bar soap brands that have popped up in the last few years.-The scents are always amazing. This is probably my favorite one. It smells pleasant and masculine. My wife likes it too, so that's a plus.-They last forever. These soaps usually last me about two months, and that's using them every single day. Of course, that's largely due to the size of the product, which is itself a plus. They're a lot easier to grip and use than smaller soaps.-The price is very good, both for the quality and the longevity of the product. I probably spend less on soaps overall than I did when I was using liquid soaps from the supermarket.

I love the scent. It reminds me of my Pawpaw.

Smells woody and pine

Like the subject line says, this is more a personal preference review than a good bad quality.First. As advertised this is a big ass soap. No, not big....huge! It is big on scent, a good quantity for the price, and of course their support of our servicemen is amazing. Now the problems. This particular scent to me is just wrong. Leather..yes, a little. Leaf? Oh boy. Like wetting handfuls of tobacco and shoving them up your nose. Well, one nostril, the other is full of ash. Pipe tobacco ash which is slightly better than cigar ash, or firepit ash, but still an overpowering smell that is too much for me. So as described..not a soap for me, but if you want to smell like a burning tobacco field this is your soap.
