I purchased the more well known brand first and their kit was a lot more expensive, tested a fraction of what this kit tests, AND I had to lance my fingers---twice! In order to get enough blood for the test. Then it took longer to get my results! This test was easy---just 10 strands of hair! Got my results 5 days after they got it, just like they said. They found all the same stuff the other one found---BUT, their results are more specific! For example, the other test said I have an intolerance to garlic---this test said I have intolerance to RAW garlic, but not to cooked garlic. The other test said I have intolerance to Almonds and so did this test---but it said I can still drink almond milk which I had given up after the first test. The blood test can only give information about what is in your system at the time of the test, but the hair test goes back in time depending on the length of your hair. This test is the one to buy---hands down.

The app is convenient to have and go back to reference.This opened my eyes to the things I was eating that were giving me issues. I followed the instructions and did the elimination process and for sure can see a difference in digestion related problems.I think it’s worth the buy for over all health. For anyone wondering this is an intolerance test, which is different from allergy testing. Allergy test things that will cause an immune system response. As someone who suffers with stomachs sensitivities this allowed me to build a diet to have more comfortable gut health. It was quick and gave insight into every area they tested. Giving links to articles to help get through it too.

This test is supposed to measure 400+ different food and drink items. The results I got listed 414 items and showed that I was intolerant of 165 of them at level 2 and 3, plus another 90 at level 1. The directions tell you to eliminant the level 2 and 3 items from your diet for 6-8 weeks, and then reintroduce them one at a time for about a week each. It would take years to go through these results at that rate. Apparently, the jury is still out on whether bio resonance testing for food intolerance is effective, but at this point I am thinking there must be a better way. I've had blood tests for food intolerance before and some of the results on this are the exact opposite of those results.

The test was easy and quick to do, but the results are not very factual. After you mail in your hair sample, they email the results in a few days. My test showed me things im highly sensitive too when in fact, I’m not. Maybe good for others as a guideline, but don’t fully rely on this test.

The 5strands test is AWESOME, it was very helpful and in an easy to understand format. I am excited to learn more about my health and wellness through genetic testing. Health issues related to food intolerance are now easier to deal with on a daily basis!

I highly recommend this test. It gave results really quick. It was easy to use and a good value for the money. Other test were more pricy. I am about to do the elimination diet and see how that goes.
