My draft horse has a tendency to get scratches when the weather is humid. Also he gets overheated in the summer. I purchased this to shave his feather completely off. It works great and makes an awful chore relatively painless. It is loud and gets a little hot, but It comes with gloves and they work well. It cuts the hair like butter and that’s saying a lot because I have destroyed a few clippers supposedly designed for corse horse hair. It comes apart well enough that I can clean the hair out fairly easily. I bought clipper oil and a couple extra blades. It does not come with them. It comes with a case that is a little too small. I keep it oiled and clean it after every use and before I put it away. So far I haven't even had to replace the blade and I’ve used it several times.

Worked great on my llama! Beginner here and in past used pet shop shears that would work, but would need frequent recharging, would snag the fur and create bald spots, and would take 2 days to complete my llama. These TAKEIT shears did a fantastic job in 30 mins on speed 1. I think Tanya even liked the vibration of the shears on her body as she was very cooperative. Nice even coat, no bald spots, and looks as good as when I had a professional come out to shear my llama. Gloves included are great at handling the shears as they do get hot after running a while. The tool is a bit heavy, but not too heavy for my arthritic hands... so if I can use these, anyone can!

Nice quality for the price. We only have 2 lambs so worked decent for the job. They do get hot, and the blades are extremely sharp so definitely shear with care. Would purchase again.

I bought this shearing machine as a back-up for my regular machine for shearing my llamas. I am so impressed with this shearing machine. First I will address the "cons" listed on other reviews. Yes the machine gets hot after running for sometime, but so do my other,more expensive shearers! I think it is quite smart of the company to include gloves! Yes, it is a bit heavy as compared to my other shearer, but not so heavy that I can't shear a couple of llamas before my arm gets tired. I am very impressed with the variable speed and how well it cuts even at the lower speed. I have sheared 3 heavy wool llamas on 1 set of blades, and it is still good for more. I highly recommend this shearer!

Great if you're looking or needing to use them for no more than 5 minutes. After that they get scalding hot to the point where they can burn the sheep and actually end up burning the lanolin in the sheeps wool. You can smell it burning. Yes, they're a cheap pair and it will get you by for the time being. Just know they're junk and not for long term use. I'm guessing the seller is just reselling from TEMU?

Not sure how they cut- haven't used them. But they shipped the kit with an empty oil bottle. This is a special non-irritant oil that won't irritate the animals' skin, which I of course don't have here, so I'll have to use something else. Lax QC at the manufacturer will cause me to avoid this company in the future. It's not too difficult to tell that the bottle was empty when placed in the case. It's aggravating.

Did not have any problems with heating up, used on one lamb over the period of about 2 hours, taking a break about every 15 minutes. Yes, this is a long time for one lamb, but it was our first time on a 4-h project so we were taking our time and going slow to make pretty ! I did purchase and use both the blade oil and cooling spray, i would say they are necessary so get them, but get the cheapest ones. It comes with one blade, which leaves about 1/8" of wool, and i found out at show time that we should have used a second blade with a finer cut for a final pass .... if you are showing check with someone in the know on the size. Other than that, it worked great, low vibration, easy to handle for long periods, great price, i cannot imagine ever having to by another one for as little as we use it once a year, but even if you used it every day i suspect it would last for years.

Item is not very good and gets extremely extremely hot very fast and well the front blades that guide fur into cutter is extremely sharp and caused significant cut to my animal that required stitches. Was unable to run longer than 3 minutes before blades got so hot it could burn skin of my animals and took 10 to 15 minutes to cool down all that before it left a severe laceration to my animal that required immediate veterinarian attention. I do not recommend these to anyone and will never use them ever again complete waste of money and I've left several messages to Seller in regards to how do I return as I find them complete garage even if they weren't so hot after such a short time on the fact that the guide can cut an animal so deep and so bad completely makes these clippers 100% the worst clippers I've ever bought and the fact seller ignores my messages and I can't return makes these a zero out of 10 stars for Me "DO NOT PURCHASE " not only that they fell apart when I first turned on
