Definitely follow their advice, and buy it way too big so you can cut it down to exactly what you like. The reversible buckle works well, so it's easy to switch between black and brown. My only dislike is the *smell* of this product... seems like it was in a moldy / mildewy warehouse. I took it off after wearing it to a 2+ hour event, and there was a strong, foul odor coming from the leather material part.
