I’ve never been a fan of messy caulk jobs - esp when at least one of the surfaces is really nice tile or stone. So after reading a story about this product & the Twin Cities company that makes it, I ordered several rolls right away. It has now been less than 1 year since I installed it. Got a ton of compliments early on & several folks even asked where I bought it. I have a strong construction background so I made sure to read the directions closely in order to determine how to prepare the surfaces & much pressure to apply when “sticking” the caulk backer into the gap between the 2 surfaces. I also knew that if I stretched it too much when applying pressure the joints would most likely separate. So I didn’t stretch the product at all. The joints around the 3 sides of my corner whirlpool & vanity sink top that meet the mosaic stone backsplashes looked awesome! But even though our basement is climate controlled - in-floor radiant heat, dehumidifier, humidifier & air quality monitor too - this product looks like crap just 9-10 months later. All the corner joints have pulled apart & there are several spots where it is pulling away from the backsplashes. And where I used it to fill a gap between a painted beam & a painted tongue & groove ceiling, it’s falling off - even though I’ve reapplied pressure several times after seeing it coming loose. So it was a complete waste of money & now I have to remove it & clean the surfaces all over again so I can use a good silicone sanded caulk that matches the grout I used for the mosaic stone. Which is exactly what I wanted to avoid & why I bought this product! What a major disappointment!

This stuff is fantastic, so easy to apply and looks so professional! I will be ordering much more of this product as am thinking about how many applications it can have. I looked high and low for a moulding to trim my floating Luxury vinyl tile floor (5mm) to my hardwood floor after a kitchen remodel. There was nothing small, only big lumpy snap together T moulds and reducers. I am a big renovator and this has solved my gap filling and floor finishing issues. On to ordering the .75" for all my baseboards instead of quarter round...no gaps!

This is kind of shiny - not matte - and next to silver it has a brownish hue. I ordered the gray so was expecting something slightly different. It ended up looking good with my color scheme and matched my trim paint almost exactly (pleasant surprise!). It will work best if you clean the area with rubbing alcohol first....and if you peel it gradually, pressing in as you go - then cut for length. *After initial press - HEAT with a blowdryer as you PRESS in further and more evenly. Do NOT slide along - PRESS. Sliding stretches it - and it will shrink back/unstick! Overall, it's a quick and easy way to get a finished look. *I do NOT trust this to provide a waterproof seal though - and sealed everything with silicone first. This looks much nicer. It's easy to cut with scissors and to mitre corners. i It doesn't stick well if you try and do a continuous piece around corners. It works well around gentle curves such as the base of a toilet. Will see how it holds up in the bathroom with changing humidity and heat levels. I'm quite happy with my purchase. 1 star off as the color was not what was expected.
