I went up half a size so instead of 10.5 I went with an 11 in men’s and find the fit to be pretty good. They’re super light and seem solid so far and will update if there’s any issues within the first few months of wearing them. They’re super light cushioning on the inside is a little much which is why size 11 makes sense as opposed to the size under. My foot is also a little wide so you definitely want to go up half a size if yours are too. Only downside is the color is nothing like shown in the photo but tbh I like this color better than what was shown. These were supposed to be black but very much greenish blue. I bought them cause of the sale at $67 instead of the usual 100+. Overall I really like them just need to wear out the insole for a better fit but that’s a better problem to have than to have aching feet from bad cushioning at all. The tops are sock like material and kind of worries me about the longevity but we’ll see!

I was excited to get these walking shoes. The reviews were out of this world. Just as important, they looked good--not too young, not too "tennis shoeish", not frumpy--They looked good with really good reviews. I buy my work shoes on-line, so I have had good experience. I had no worries, as I have only had problems with shoes once in my life, and that was in Junior High Track, when I was wearing basketball shoes as training shoes--terrible shin splints. The delivery time was very fast, and I was excited to go for a walk. My wife made me try them on before our our first walk. She said, "Once you wear them outside, you won't be able to return them." They seemed to fit fine--I've tried on a lot of shoes in my 62-year life. We went for our 2-mile walk, and before the 1-mile point, I was feeling skin irritation in my left achilles tendon. About the 1.75 mile point, I asked my wife to slow down, as it was clear my skin had been scratch raw. I wear reasonably thicker socks to walk in, so I was surprised. When I got home, I took off my shoe, looked in side, and there was a "structural rim" that came high around the heel for support. It felt "cushiony" as though it was a good idea, but this was definite culprit of my pain. I took my sock off, and sure enough, I had a pretty good sore. The shoe had rubbed away all of the skin on my achilles heel, and I was bleeding. The blood had penetrated the through the sock--not a lot, just enough to draw pause. I just would have expected discomfort like a blister where the sock was surface marred, but the blood went all the way through the sock, a thick sock. The shoe equiviqably cut me. I cleaned it up, applied some neo and a bandaid and accepted it as a break-in. I wore my work shoes the next day, and had no discomfort. Day two, I left the bandaid on my left achilles tendon, put on fresh sox, and myy wife and I went for our evening walk. The pain was recreated, this time a little below the protective bandaid and definitely on my right foot this time. The discomfort was not as bad as the first 2-miles, but there was discomfort. We returned home, and son of a gun, I had a mirror cut in my right foot and a smaller cut below the bandaid on my left. I only have 4-miles on these shoes and they are clearly not suitable for my feet (11.5, normal width, high arches, 6'3", 224 lbs). Worse, they demotivated me 2-nights in a row not to walk. I am going to try to return them, but I do not have optimism about that: caveat emptor.

Very comfortable but had add half size up as they run small

I’ve been rocking the Allbirds Men’s Tree Dasher 2 lately, and honestly, they’re pretty awesome. These shoes are very light, like, you barely notice them on your feet.Plus, the color I got looks really sharp and fresh. One thing though to be aware of , they run a little tight, especially around the middle of the foot. The heel area felt a bit stiff when I first put them on, which was a little annoying, but after wearing them a bit, it’s way better. Also, the back of the shoe is wider than I expected, which actually makes them pretty comfy once you break them in and helps with balance for sure. For the price, these are definitely a solid deal. If you want a stylish, lightweight shoe that’s also eco-friendly and don’t mind a snug fit at first, I’d say give the Tree Dasher 2 a try. Durable and quality shoe for the price.

I really wanted to love these shoes but just couldn't. I returned after a few hours of wearing them around the house. The top side really hurt my feet with the laces all but removed and the logo on the heal of the shoe was digging into my Achilles something fierce even with socks that went just above the top of the shoe. These are more for short term wear and looks rather than functionality. My true size is 9.5 but based on reviews I started out with 10's. My toes were about an inch from the tip of the shoe. I returned and got a true size of 9.5 and wow are they tight. For the cost I was really expecting something amazing. Not worth the money IMO. They are lightweight and I can't speak to the durability since I could only wear them for about 4 hours before needing to remove. I love the sustainable aspects of these shoes which is why I didn't give 1 star, but that only makes a difference if people can wear them and buy again and again. Allbirds missed the mark on this shoe design.
