Our old vacuum sealer was starting to go out. We were having a hard time finding a new one that felt like it would be good quality and not overpriced. We decided to give this one a shot. It arrived timely and in good condition. It is easy to use, doesn’t take up a ton of space, and it comes with extra seals. I have only used it a few times but it has not disappointed. The vacuum power is really good and the bags that have been in the freezer for a few weeks are not showing any signs of regaining air. The sealer is sturdy and I love the ease of use. I recommend this vacuum sealer if you are looking for a new sealer or if you are wanting to give one a try for the first time. It comes with some vacuum seal bags and it has up to a 5 year warranty on it. I have activated the warranty and my experience with customer service to set up the warranty was excellent.

I don't write many reviews, but after using this sealer machine, I was so impressed that I just had to do it. If you are looking for a sealer machine that has all the bells and whistles, THIS IS IT!. I love everything about this machine and as of yet do not have any negatives (and doubt if I will have any). Where can I begin? One hand operation, roller storage, convenient cutter, single or double seal option, 95kPa vacuum, renoveable liquid tray, replaceable seals, and full option control panel including sealing options, pressure options, automatic vacuum/seal, manual seal, manual vacuum, marinate option, and canister sealing. This unit has it all, and in addition, it looks good. It has a 1 year warranty, but has the option to add on an additonal 4 years simply by sending them an email with your information and Amazon order number. I received the unit on Saturday, sent in my email on Sunday and received a response from Amy at Gasbye within a very short time. I think communication with Gasbye would be a breeze if there is ever a problem. One last comment, not about the machine but about the Owner's Manual. I get tired of Owner's Manuals with print so small that I need to get out my magnifying glass out to read, and then it doesn't make any sence! This manual is easy to read with pictures to clearly explain the operation of the machine. It is the best Owner's Manual I have seen in a long time and is so well written and presented that I just had to read it from cover to cover. Kudos to Gasbye for a great product and customer support.

I LOVE MY GASBYE VACCUUM SEALER! My previous vaccuum sealer died and I needed one in a hurry. This one was delivered in 12 hours! I am so happy with my purchase! Great suction, faster and quieter than our old one! Love the different moisture settings! I have already used it for meat, chicken, spaghetti sauce and more! Can’t wait to try the option to seal dry goods like jewerly and clothing!It comes with a 5 year warranty and extra vacuum sealer bags, and extra foam gaskets.This is a necessity in any household! And It is such a bargain for the price!I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this product! 5 stars!!!

My long used Foodsaver brand sealer finally died so I went on a long search for a new one. After many reviews on many models I took the chance on this one. I received a dead on arrival unit. The company was awesome and sent me a new one within a day and I returned the other one. This unit does exactly as it should. I really appreciate the moist seal, as when I buy meat in bulk to freeze it doesn't suck all the juice out. I used to freeze the meat on a paper plate first but now I do not have to! It is so much quieter than my old unit, too. Since I live in an open space kitchen and living area it doesn't interrupt my husband if he is watching tv. I would highly recommend this unit and this company! Great value! It seems well made and should last awhile. The size is also a plus, as I can put it in my pantry.

If you’re looking for a good vacuum sealer this is a good one.This unit has a lot of nice features , besides the regular vacuum seal it also has a manual seal so that you are not over sealing softer items that could be crushed. It also has a double seal feature that allows putting two seals on each end of the bag to insure that no leaks could occur.It has a convenient cord storage and a roll bag storage in the unit itself.They offer a 1 year warranty but if you email your Amazon ID order number they update you to an additional 4 year warranty for a total of 5 years!Haven’t dealt with they’re customer service but on a placard that was on the unit said if you emailed your Amazon ID number for warranty update they would respond in 8 hours, 6 1/2 hours later I got they’re response!The unit feels and looks very well built, and includes a hose attachment for container vacuum and marinating container, which the hose has a storage area also. Comes with two 11 in rolls and a pack of flat pre-sealed bags.Like I said before don’t know much about the customer service but they are very adamant that if you have issues to call or email them!With a 4.8 rating don’t think you could go wrong on this one.Edit: Forgot to add that they also supply two extra flat seals should the ones on the unit go bad or are accidentally damaged.

4 star so far. Checked it and seems to work well. I vac sealed a sharp box and did very well. I really like the double seal. My old Cook's Essentials from QVC is more than 20 yrs old. Just waiting for it to go. I researched these sealers thoroughly and found this to be the best buy, money wise and quality. So far happy. I just wish the seals were silicone. It states silicone but they are foam, at least you are given 2 replacements (reason for the 4 stars).

I am an accomplished cook — not yet a chef, but I'm working on it — and as such I am a sous vide fanatic. Since I began my sous vide life a couple of years back I have been through three, count 'em three, vacuum systems. The first was a battery operated loser that I soon tossed, the second failed in about six months, and the third I ruined by allowing marinade to seep into its innards — not totally my fault, and something I'll get to in a moment as I describe how the Gasbye Vacuum Sealer was the answer to my sous vide dilemma.Hmm ... is the plural of dilemma "dilemmas" or "dilemmae"? With vacuum sealers I've had many — until now. The Gasbye solved them all.First off, the thing is built like a brick — a six-and-a-half pound brick that's just under 18-by-8-by-5-inches, to be precise. Don't expect it to slip into a cupboard drawer unless you have a pretty capacious cupboard. The build quality is so solid that I have zero, zip, squat, and nada worries about it failing due to fragility. This thing is about as fragile as a Peterbuilt Model 579 cab-over.On reason the Gasbye is large is that it has an überconvenient internal roll caddy and cutter for making your own custom-sized bags — no more wasted plastic when sealing up smaller items into pre-cut bags. Oh, and it comes with two rolls of bag materia to place in that caddy, along with a handful of bags. Generous.And does this thing suck! And it being a vacuum sealer, serious suckage is A Good Thing™. Compared with any of my previous vacuum sealers, the Gasbye is fast and efficient — a bit loud, but, hey, power has its drawbacks, right. A Peterbilt is louder than a Prius, but which one do you want hauling your precious cargo?Another nice feature is its easy-to-read, easy-to-understand, and easy-to-use control panel, complete with a countdown timer — although the tenths-of-a-second increments of the last ten seconds of the short sealing process is a bit of overkill. Apparently that capability was in the circuitry of their timer's supplier and so ... hey ... why not?The control panel brings me to my favorite feature: The ability to micromanage the vacuum timing. By holding down and releasing one large, well-positioned button you can carefully manage the amount of, say, marinade in your steak-stuffed bag as it creeps up towards the sealing strip. No more flooding the drip tray with unwanted juices, which is what killed my last vacuum sealer.Other niceties include a double-seal option, a removable drip tray, a super-solid locking handle, extra vacuum gaskets should you ever need them, and a long power cord — and if you don't want the cord long, there are locking posts around which it can be wrapped in about eight-inch increments. Thoughtful.All-in-all, the Gasbye is a vacuum-sealer workhorse — fast, efficient, powerful (and loud), and the answer to each of this sous vide cook's long-term vacuum-prep dilemmas ... or is that dilemmae?

This vacuum sealer wasn't the most advertised, the sleekest, the lightest or cheapest, but the longer warranty and the inclusion of extra gaskets made it worth looking at. I waited before writing this to see if I was going to actually use it, and if I did, did I actually like it. It's "yes" to both. It works exactly as it said it would with no real learning curve. I'm new to sous vide and this sealer has never let me down, every seal has held. It came with bags and rolls, but I also supplemented my stash with Foodsaver bags when they were on sale. I highly recommend this. Only con: it has a bigger footprint than smaller sealers, but the heft and dependability make it worth the counter space.
