Schaller Strap Locks Guitar S-Lock Pair (Black Chrome)

I've been using Schaller Strap Locks for 30+ years and my only bugbear was that they rattle when sitting with the strap attached and the nut nd washer works loose and required regular tightening with soft strap end. Bugbear no more, the locks fit the endpins perfectly, no play or rattle. The newer nut with the hex pin is ultra-secure and after 3 months of regular use on 2 expnsive guitars they haven't budged one iota. Bear in mind that these are fixed to the guitar with a fatter than standard screw so removing them will leave a larger hole. However, once they're on, there on and ain't going nowhere. Advice to non luthiers/guitar techs fitting DIY, have a look at the numerous YT videos for hints and tips prior to installing on your precious instrument. Well done Schaller for making improvements on an already great piece of guitar hardware.

Guitar strap lock that is second to none, the threaded tube that goes through the strap is longer than others I have used so makes fitting so much easier on thicker quality leather straps. The “nuts”for securing the strap are circular and substantial, don’t need a spanner for tightening and have a locking screw incorporated to keep everything tight and safe. Materials used are of an excellent quality, finish is excellent too. It’s a bit more expensive than other makes but you get a whole lot more than you pay for, well worth it🤠

I own Schaller strap locks for two of my guitar and bass, however these appear to be an updated version (I didn't realise before ordering). The principle is the same of course, yet with these you can pretty much fit the locks by hand now as they removed the washer and nut that features on my old set that required a spanner. You may need a tiny screwdriver and allen key, but let's be honest you probably have those to hand to make minor adjustments to your guitars anyway. It's just a little improvement that makes a lot of difference. Although I do recall the old sets used to provide two different length screws, whereas this set on the one, but this wasn't an issue in my case. They feel a bit more sturdy than the old set. I'd end up rechecking my old set from time to time as the nut would come loose. These have a bit more thread so feel like they aren't moving. I'm not able to confirm or deny yet, but it looks like the new and old versions should still be interchangeable with either strap button, unless there is a minor size difference I'm not aware of. Locks arrived two days earlier than anticipated in a padded envelope, great seller.

Schaller have nailed it with this update to their original strap lock system. The S-Lock is a great piece of engineering, no need for a spanner to tighten the nut onto the strap anymore due to the new knurled nut design, which can be further locked into place with a small grub screw. Also the strap can now be quickly fitted to the guitar without having to pull the release button first, this is because Schaller have angled the locking pin so it slides onto strap button easily and the fit seems much better as there is no annoying rattle anymore when you move the strap around. Great packaging too, it feels like a real treat when you are opening the little box. Good job Schaller.

Strap locks. They lock your straps. Simples. I've used a couple different strap locks over the years, from the untrustworthy plastic ones to other metal ones. These are probably among my favourites. Got a pair on both my 'main' guitars. Easy to install. Easy and quick to take off or put on the locks themselves, literally a case of pulling up and sliding off, which makes it just as easy to slap that strap onto another guitar (with the locks installed of course). It simply feels safe having these locks on, which is exactly what you want from a set of these. At no point to I think they're going to fail and lead to a hefty repair bill as I've had with other brands.

Simple to use and easy to fit

Although it took longer to get here it was a day later than I was told royal mail was late by a day, I like the product that I bought well packaged and fit for perpose .sr.

The S locks are a great product and I am in the process of fitting them to all my guitars. They look great too

J'installe ce dispositif sur chacune de mes guitares. Pose facile, ça ne bouge jamais et mes guitares sont en sécurité.
