I travel for work around 300 days a year. I carry some basic workout equipment with me because most motel gyms are either non existent or pretty crappy. My workout isn't very equipment intensive and I hate working out in public, anyway. I added my hypoxic mask to my travel gear about a week ago. Until tonight, I've just been wearing it around the house doing normal activities, just to get used to it and find the "altitude" I'm comfortable with. Used it working out for the first time today, and I have to say it really added a new level of difficulty. My normal routine isn't cardio intensive at all, but it was tonight! Got my heart rate elevated immediately without using that worn-out elliptical in the "gym" or walking up and down the stairs. Really looking forward to including this in my daily routine, and the compact hard case survived my over packing. Loving it!

I got this mainly because I found myself kinda holding my breath and restricting my breathing. If that make sense. I've been doing my morning routine with it on. So far, I've seen a big difference in performance and less mouth breathing. Love it!

Ok, here goes. So the mask came quickly and everything was intact. Great!👍🏽 Initially, when I tried the mask on, I was annoyed with a few things and had concluded by the end of the day that I had wasted my money on this item. I'm a 156lb, 5'6" tall female, so imagine when I tried to use the mask a number of times and the fit was just so improper on my frame. It kept sliding down my face, and the air that escaped at the top into my eyes as I exhaled was super frustrating😤! Let me not forget that ugly kink at the ridge of the nose too😓. I thought "this 'one size fits all' comment they state online is total bullshit! Maybe they were referring to 'MEN' (perhaps with straight noses) but that should've been specified in the description😒". Eventually I threw the mask to the side and accepted the loss😡; as I am not a huge fan of returning items online.The next day, something told me to go online and read some negative reviews; and my search led me to a Sparthos Q & A official website. One of the concerns addressed was the fit of the mask; and I decided to try their solution🤔. I brought the top strap up as much as I could to the crown of my head, pulled the back strap as far back down my neck, and pushed the tip of the mask further up my nose, between my eyes. Although the back strap was still a bit long due to the small circumference of my neck, it felt alot more comfortable on my face and the issue I had initially with the air-escape was resolved🤗. That same day I managed to complete a 30-min cardio session with 1 silicon valve in each SVS, restricting breathing out, and fluctuating the setting between 1 and 4 depending on my abilities💪. It was an awesome feeling wearing the mask while working out🏋️‍♀️; and once I finally removed it, I felt a bit more awesome as an athlete🤸‍♀️. My advice to you is: If you are serious about improving your skills and efficiency as an athlete, this mask will work for you! If you have found yourself in a similar position as I had with the fit; then try manipulating the straps as I did before u toss it to the side like I did 😂. I even found out Sparthos does custom-made straps if one is still unsatisfied with the fit☝🏽. So do not be dismayed. Take it from a verified "Inspector Gadget🧐" that you have not been tricked. Yes, better masks are available but they're also more expensive. So if this one works for less cash, why not try to save some moolah💰? Great value for money I think. Totally something I'm sure will benefit me in the long run. Accelerate your awesomeness and don't hesitate...there's a very slim chance you will be disappointed! We are going from 0 elevation to Denver for soccer. My son wanted to prep and loves this mask. We tried a cheaper one and it was…well cheap. So we opted to keep this and it works well and is comfortable.

I bought this to wear while training cardio; jump rope and running.After 3-5mins it’s starts falling off (slips) which causes more air to come in and for the purpose of this mask to be obsoleteBut overall great mask, if the mask stays on

This mask fits very comfortable, and seals well even with my facial hair. There are insert able valves for restriction and quick levers on the outside that add to the restriction. It takes some getting used to to not panic breathe and that everything's ok lol. Sitting at my desk with it on i can turn it down to a 4 setting and not sure if its just mine but it has a lil darth vader sound to it. Running is definitely a learning curve with it, even on its easiest setting i could just barely make it over a mile before i had to remove it. Played the on and off game every mile or so but that was my first time ever using this. Looked into the mouth training masks but when i run im a nose breather so thats why i chose this one. In all so far i really like this mask.

I was sceptical about these masks they seemed gimmicky. But to my surprise it actually makes a pretty big difference in my workouts. It really turns up the suck level, which is the primary reason I purchased the mask. That and improving my CO2 tolerance for freediving (no results on that front yet). But when I take it off and my breathing goes back to normal, I have more energy and I feel really good.The mask conveniently comes apart for easy cleaning. And easily goes back together and feels sturdy, doesn't rattle or anything. Other than not being able to breathe well it is comfortable.As for sizing, I have a big head and I wear a size medium 3M respirator, however the headstrap of the medium mask feels like it might be a bit too big.Update:I used the mask for about a month 2-3 times a week. I went freediving in the springs and my CO2 tolerance was far superior. I could stay down for 30-45 seconds longer each time. Also I didn't feel completely drained afterwards. If you are new to freediving (as I am) I would highly this product. I can't speak on how it would affect someone who has been diving for a few years, I don't imagine it would be bad though.

Bought for my son and he absolutely loves it and has noticed improvements in performance in a fairly short time
