Baja Gold Mineral Sea Salt, Gary Brecka Choice, Natural Grain, 454g

After doing quite a bit of research on different types of salt and their potential health benefits, I decided to give Baja Gold a try. It’s supposed to have a high mineral content compared to regular table salt, I can’t personally verify those claims, but I like that it’s harvested in a more natural way and not stripped of trace minerals. In terms of taste, it’s excellent, clean and slightly sweet. I’ve noticed it enhances food flavour without the harshness that some salts can have. One thing to note, it’s a little more moist than other course salt, so it doesn’t flow well in a salt grinder. I just use a mortar and pestle to break it down a bit when I need finer grains, and that works perfectly. It’s definitely pricier than most salts, but considering the quality and taste, I’m happy with the purchase. A little goes a long way, and it feels good to be using something more natural and flavourful.

Came on time and taste genuine

I use this specifically after running or gym sessions to top up my electrolytes, and it’s been brilliant. Unlike regular table salt, this is unrefined and packed with natural minerals including magnesium, potassium, and calcium not just sodium. It’s got a proper broad profile of trace minerals too, all in their natural balance, so it feels like you’re getting everything your body actually needs after sweating it out. No weird additives or anti-caking agents, just pure sea salt. I add a pinch to water and it helps me bounce back quickly way better than plain salt. If you’re after a natural way to replace electrolytes after exercise, this is well worth trying.

I like the flavour this adds to food, and a small amount is enough for my taste. The crystals are quite coarse and retain some moisture, so I find it more practical to take a pinch than expect it to pour like dry table salt. It is a premium-priced salt, but I'm happy with it for seasoning. The taste and texture are the reasons for my rating.

The product is as described. I am using it to make rehydration mixtures as well as using it on food in the usual way. The crystals are coarse and retain more moisture than standard salt and it can't go in a shaker, but that as I expected. I do feel better for the rehydration during the very hot weather. Yes, I recommend it.
