I used to dread using sunshades because I hated the hassle of putting them up and taking them down. However, this umbrella-style sunshade has completely changed my experience. It’s so quick and easy to use, literally takes 15-30 seconds to open, secure, and mount onto the windows. Even when I’m running late to my job I will still put this on my car because it is just that easy. Plus, it’s super convenient to store, folding up just like an umbrella. It stays securely in place with the help of the two sun visors, and there’s a velcro strap in the middle to ensure it doesn’t budge. It fits perfectly, keeps the car cool, and eliminates the hassle of dealing with those annoying sunshade circle holders. Overall, it’s a great solution!

**Update 8/5/24** I’ve had the sun shade for a month and the little tab to keep it open fails every time I open the shade. The plastic is so tiny it just slips through and closes without even pushing the close button. I really hoped for a better experience. Not happy.I bought floor mats for my Tesla Model Y from OtriFowd and they are great. So I knew the custom sunshade would probably be great. Yep. High quality pouch with very good design shade. Thick and strong. Locks open and fits perfect. Blocks the sun and helps keep the cabin much cooler. Also keeps the direct sun off the computer screen which is always a good thing.

I tested 2 other brands and this was the one I kept. The LARGE folding flap makes it easy to wrap up and secure in my door pocket. The clasp is secure when extended. The mirror wrap velcro is easy to use. I do kinda wish the flap was more towards the edge so it doesn't show as much on the outside when open, but that's a nit picky cosmetic thing. It's still much better than the others I tried. The stick is bendable but not too soft. Keeps my Y much cooler!

I was able to use this sun shade without issue on my 2023 Tesla Model 3. It's compact and does a good job getting full coverage without necessarily needing the sun visors to hold it in place. My issues are that it doesn't help stop the heat very well and that the stand it uses isn't quite rigid enough. I left this up for a 3 day period while my car was in long term parking and the stand is permanently flexed now. That being said, I think it is a good deal for the money.

The build quality of this is very nice. It fits very well and it’s easy to use. It’s kind of tricky in the beginning, but you get used to how to manipulate it and put it and it definitely works as it should. It’s very lightweight and doesn’t take up too much space. You definitely get your value for the money that you spend on this.

October 2024-This fits perfectly in my ‘24 model Y. It gives complete coverage Of the windshield. It has so far stayed in place and hasn’t fell, I don’t always strap it around the rear view mirror and it has not fell yet long as the stick is placed straight behind the screen. I guess over time I will see how the build quality is since I open ans close it everyday. I do recommend that when you are closing it to first un hook it from the review it’s pretty tight so and will keep slapping the glass and could eventually break it.

I have enjoyed this sunshade so far it has been really convenient. I have had it for about 2 months and the rod that holds it up has gone limp. A few of the threads on the seams are also starting to fray. Quality is sub-par but oh well.

Purchased this umbrella type shade as it was advertised as high quality and fit neatly in the Tesla Model 3 glovebox. Unfortunately the main body and locking mechanism are made out of plastic. The locking mechanism broke and now it no longer stays open. For the price I paid I expect much higher quality and product design.
