I am a physician who recently purchased this Neosonic neckband for my 100 year older grandmother whose hearing has declined rapidly over the last year. My grandmother had attempted use of hearing aids in the past though was unwilling to use them due to discomfort and "not wanting to look old"(yes, she is a spitfire of a 100 year old). As a completely healthy and active centenarian, her only medical issue has been presbycusis, age related hearing loss. Not only has her inability to participate in conversations been frustrating, but the volume level on the TV has been equally disturbing for any visitors stopping by to see her. After connecting the system and giving it a test run, i stood with my back turned approximately 20-30ft away from her and whispered questions into the remote microphone. Amazingly, she heard every word i said and was able to answer questions and hear EVERYTHING without difficulty. The TV volume level has finally returned to normal at home, thankfully. I am so pleased with this product, i would hands down recommend this product for anyone who needs assistance with hearing. It's comfortable, mobile, and serves it purpose without complexity at a low cost.

These are life saving for the people of the house without hearing problems. He can easily put the put the microphone piece close to the TV or other devices to hear without having to turn the volume up and blare out the rest of the family. They are light weight and does not cause discomfort while sitting for the evening. This is the second pair of these that we have purchased and if these go out we will by again.

Will work as a remote device connected to a remote microphone. Also works as an ambient device amplifying sounds well.

Unfortunately, these did not work for my father-in-law, although we tried to make them work. Maybe he has strange ears but no matter which buds we tried, they always kept falling out. He found the sound was also intermittent in quality. For the price, we found these sadly lacking and could not justify the cost versus quality. We had to return these and keep looking for other options.

This hearing aide arrived last week. It surprised my husband with how well it works, both for listening to television and being able to hear in a room full of people. It is comfortable for him to wear and was easy for him to get set up with it. He is using it without his regular hearing aides. It has restored peace to our home. Surely do wish I had known about it a year ago when spouses hard of hearing made his watching television a whole house experience, whether i wanted to listen or not. I saw reviews that said it didn't last long, so we will be waiting on that. Even so, if it lasts six months it will be well worth it! and I will get another one immediately if it breaks, as it stands now! UPDATED: Well, this little device will no longer hold a charge....but it worked well when it did!

This product seemed to be the answer to my TV hearing problem. My wife wears hearing aids, but I don't so we had problems finding a comfortable volume for both of us. Since we use a digital cable sound bar with no auxiliary outputs, I could not purchase any unit that relied on plug in. This unit offers a microphone that sits near your speaker and send the signal to the headphones which then amplifies the volume. It came beautifully packaged with a nice carrying case and was a very attractive design. It was light in weight and appeared to be well made. Problem was, it didn't work long. The instructions provided were adequate to get the product setup and working initially, but when I encountered problems, of which there were several, no solution was provided. When you have only two buttons to push and you only need to push one twice for setup, there isn't much trouble shooting to do. After some initial setup problem (my fault) I got it to work for about 15 minutes and it was great. I thought my problems were solved. I then shut it off and when I turned it back on it wouldn't work. After many tries and button pushing, it would not work as designed. There are a couple of other issues which with the unit I didn't care for. The small remote microphone has a sensitive pickup and I got a lot of conversations from people in the room. It was great when the room was silent, but picked up sound and amplified it into the earphone. It was kind of like being in a potato chip bag while it was being scrunched. The unit also has a separate microphone in the head set, but when I tried it in that mode (by accident), it picked up any movement or clothing rubbing against it and amplified that as well. So it's back to the search for an amplifier that will meet my needs. PS: I gave it two stars because it is really a very nice looking unit.

Worked great for six weeks and then one side just stopped working. Just so happens that the side that stopped working is my bad ear. $159 for six weeks is a rotten deal . Now they want me to mail it back to them at my expense after six weeks. Do not buy !!!!

I loved these for grandma. The sound is so clear and it's so loud on the lowest setting. The magnetic ear buds are pretty strong and won't come apart easily. i wish they could be secured better. theres a good amount of slack. The remote mic is a huge plus. Now the TV isn't super loud, everyone really appreciates it. The charge lasts for a day and a half.
