ORTONYX Umbilical Hernia Belt for Men and Women, Abdominal Binder L-XXL

I ordered this for my husband after his umbilical hernia surgery. The binder they gave him in the hospital was nearly impossible to get back on once we got home, so we decided to try this one and we’re so glad we did! This belt is excellent. It has an extra compression pad that the hospital-issued one didn’t have, and that makes a big difference in providing targeted support. My husband is still recovering, but he says it feels much more supportive and comfortable than the one from the hospital. He did need a little help putting it on at first, so just keep that in mind it might not be easy to do alone right after surgery. But once it's on, he said it fits well and stays in place without digging in or sliding around. Overall, this has made his recovery a lot easier, and we can both tell it's working better than the one he was sent home with. Highly recommend this for anyone dealing with an umbilical hernia or recovering from surgery!

This belt was a life saver. I’ve been wearing it for over a week and have another week to go before my umbilical hernia repair surgery. It fits great and that disk holds everything in at my belly button. I think I’ll wear it after surgery when doing heavy work. Either this or a back belt.

The support belt is great and better than expected. However, the little instructions pamphlet was very unclear and extremely hard to read because of the small print. Had to figure out best way to put it on. Other than that I am pleased with the support belt.

This is the best support belt I’ve ever seen. I’ve bought several but this one checks all of the boxes. So comfortable to wear not bulky breathable and stays put. Stretches with every move.

I have purchased three of these over the past few years. The most recent purchase was in July of this year. I no longer have the original belt I purchased because these belts do wear out over time and the issue is a lack of support on the sides. I can't prove it but I recall the first belt I purchased had support ribs on the sides. This allowed the belt to stay stiff on the sides. It is possible that this brand never had support ribs on the side and perhaps I am confusing another brand I purchased a few years ago. Without the ribs on the sides, the belt just rolls over on the sides and it shifts around throughout the day requiring several adjustments throughout the day. I also have taken issue with the design where the velcro is on the backside if you want to line up the round piece that presses against the hernia. Just too difficult to align that up and tighten the belt. I gave up and just threw away the round piece and have worn the belt without it and flipped it around so I can tighten it from the front. I cut out some microfiber cloth to fit over the velcro on the belt so the velcro would not scratch my back. I concur with one review I read that the design was never vetted out with people who actually have umbilical hernias. It works though. My hernia has not gotten any larger in the past few years and I found a way to work around the design issues. However, I just purchased another hernia belt from another company that does have the ribs on the sides. Hopefully, that belt will provide stronger support and will not collapse on the sides as quickly as this brand does.

This belt is a game changer. Ive been suffering an umbilical hernia for years now and its massive. Solid as a rock while im standing up and super painful. The only things i don’t like about this is that the velcro is in the back. I cannot push my intestines back in while standing, so i have to lay down to put the belt on 🤣 But its not a deal breaker, its my fault for looking for something less expensive. Another thing to keep in mind for those of you with curves, this cuts into my lovehandles and bunches up. I maybe should have looked into a wrap that goes over my entire torso. But the relief i get from this far outweighs the negatives. Plus with my intestines held in where they are supposed to be, I'm 3 inches thinner, no exaggeration.

This is my second purchase of this. First one wore out after a few years. This one is quite inferior to my first one. There are three strips of velcro is guess for different tightness. My other one had none of these strips. The hook portion at the end just stuck to the band. Then for some reason a velcro hook patch was sewn in the middle along with brand name tag. This ends up in your middle back to scratch your skin. I used a seam ripper tool to remove this portion.

The product is of good quality, however it doesn't mention width only that ts XXL size etc. and unfortunately it turned out to of smaller width. Please do mention Length, breadth and width.

I’ve had a hernia for about 5 years. My surgery has been delayed a few times. It’s been getting worse and this product has brought such relief. Not to be graphic but because the silicon or plastic plug keeps your intestines from poking out. It’s very comfortable while working at my desk. Such a relief. Wish I’d bought this years ago.
