These rivits were longer than the ones that were included with the replacement shovel handles I bought at Home Depot. They extended a quarter inch beyond the shovel handle which gave me enough material to flatten with the ball-peen hammer creating a perfect rivit!

I had an old shovel that had a broken handle. Even if I could use a nail, I prefer these.Easy to cut, and hammer down to nice and flush easily.

I had a pick axe handle and a brush knife I needed to combine. I was able to get the handle off the knife and cut a nice deep slit for the blade in the axe handle. I laid out the holes, and put in these rivets. They crushed down very nice and tight. The look amazing and were just what I needed.

If you've ever had to replace the handle on a shovel then you'll know what these are for. Once the new handle is inserted drill through the implement holes and put one of these rivets through the holes and the handle. put the finished end of the rivet against something solid and peen the top of the unfinished end over and it will hold the handle in the implement tightly. Aluminum to make it easier to peen the top over and it won't rust.
