Love the stools, cheap hardware- beware!!
These stools are beautiful! The first 2 I ordered came with black, strong screws and washers. Very sturdy. Then I ordered 6 more stools for a huge breakfast bar we have. The next stools came with cheap hardware... Shiny, coppery looking hardware. I just shrugged it off even though it looked horrible - and did not blend with the white & black aesthetic of the stools. A month later, after minimal use, I pulled a stool away from the bar and it nearly collapsed in my hands. It wiggled so badly that when I shook it a little more, 2 screws fell out!! These are 2 inch screws! I couldn't believe it. I put these together myself! I know how much torque I put on the Allen wrench when tightening the screws... A lot! I bent down and felt every screw.. All 16 of them, and they were ALL loose. Then I went around to every stool, and they were ALL the same way, except the stools with the black screws. So I spent the next 2 hours tightening the six stools. Some screws were 5 turns to tighten. Scary!! And these stools are at a infrequently used lake house. Maybe sat in 3 or 4 times each. I have been told about a product called Loc-Tite that I can use. But I have to unscrew each screw and put it on the threads and screw it back in. And that should secure them. But at this rate, maybe all I need to do is wait a month for them to loosen and fall out on their own again. That will save me half the work. It's such a shame, because the stools are beautiful! But I guess this is why they kept going down in price... The were being manufactured for less. I truly believe I got 2 from the first run - with the black screws - and after that they were on back order. I bet they quickly mass produced them and that's the other six that were delivered all separately in different packaging. Such a shame.I would have given less stars if I didn't believe this Loc-Tite will save the day. After I try it, I will give an update. If it doesn't work, the $1300 worth of stools are going right back to Amazon!

Great for the price
These chairs suited our needs perfectly. They are pretty easy to assemble and are sturdy enough for larger folks. We bought 8 of them. We had no issues with any of them, except 1 has a squeaky bearing. Other than that they look great and were 1/4 of the cost we found for similar stairs locally.

Wonderful Stools, but Not White (Cream)
This product deserves five stars for quality, sturdiness, and comfort, but I had to give four because the color is not distressed white: it is distressed cream (on the yellow side of cream). Often stools have small seats, but the seat on this stool is nice and wide with comfortable padding, and many stools with backs either lean too far back or feel like you are being dumped forward: not this one. I am so sad that I had to send them back but thankful that shipping is covered both ways. For the price point, you cannot purchase something better, if the cream color is to your liking. Actually the only stool with a back that I found that compared to this one cost $800.00, and that was on sale. Price Tip: buy them individually rather than in pairs because purchasing in pairs is more expensive.

Beautiful and a good quality for the price.
These stools are awesome for the price. I was looking for a decent quality swivel stool that was affordable for my new house. While at first I wasn't too excited about the black cushion I now love how it goes with my counter tops. It is definitely cream, not a true white but I prefer the cream color. Assembly was easy, it just took some time. I averaged about 40mins a stool. They do went easily against the counter. So I'm going to add a clear protector to it to prevent additional damage. Kids really love to spin on these so be prepared. Have gotten many compliments on them as well.

Great Chair in Cream color, not white
I really like this swivel bar stool. It has a nice design, good quality for the price and is comfortable. I had to return it because the website said it is distressed white and it is actually distressed cream. My kitchen cabinets are a true white and the chair looks bad with an all white kitchen. I read the reviews before purchasing this item which were helpful. There were comments about the distressed aspect of the paint. To clarify the distressed parts are not in the paint. It looks like on most of the edges (corners) of the wood the paint has been slightly rubbed. It is barely noticeable! I wish I could have kept this great chair! Great value for the money!!

Sturdy but small issue on back assembly hole alignment.
Received boxed chair undamaged. Really like the distressed white. Not a bright white. Assembled with single tool supplied. One one issue was with attaching back to seat. Hole alignment for outside screws was off just a bit. Would not align. I could do middle and either side but not both sides. Simple fix was still or file out one set of side holes just a 1/16 or so bigger to allow the assembly wholes to align correctly. This will avoid cross threading the assembly threaded parts. Chair/stool seems sturdy and set padding is firm.

Heavy yellow
these say cream, but they are mostly yellow. I will have to paint them.

Very easy to assembly
What I liked about theses stools is the comfort and colour of them. They matched my kitchen perfectly!! I bought 4 in total for my kitchen island.
