Secret Garden Essential Oil Diffuser, Ultrasonic Aromatherapy Humidifier, 500ml (Black)

I have a number of diffusers, and this one is definitely my favorite. Aesthetically, it is very attractive. It holds 500 ml, so it has a great run time. It puts out a lot of mist. The mist options are varied; constant, diffuse for a set time, and intermittent on/off mist, which is my preference. The control buttons are easy to see and read. The plug is on the side of the diffuser for easy access rather than on the bottom. Another unique feature is the small spout on the rim of the diffuser itself for easy pouring when you need to empty the contents of the diffuser to change oils or for cleaning. Usually, there's a line that says "pour here," which I can rarely find. The light selection is creatively varied. The colors are very pretty and a nice embellishment to the unit itself. There is also a soft, white-light setting as well as a setting that resembles a flickering candle, which is my favorite. I intend to purchase another for the other side of my bed. I've been searching to find the perfect diffuser that was affordable, had many diffusing/light and mist options as well as being aesthetically pleasant. I found all that and more with this diffuser.

This was the perfect upgrade I was looking for! I had initially purchased another cheap, dinky, plastic diffuser and well I got what I paid for. But with this diffuser I only paid $25 more and let me tell you how much I got from that cost of one dinner out: 1. It was very easy to set up. Other models, the lids get stuck and are so hard to open in order to fill. But this one you just pick up the top very easily and the outer cover just slides right back on top and into place with the o-ring type seal. 2. Filling and cleaning is easier with the wide bottom. I can easily see the fill line because I’m not pouring into a 2 inch circle and my fat fingers can wipe it out after use. Because it holds more I don’t have to constantly refill either. 3. Lots of diffusing options. I can choose the diffusing length via timer and theres a whole slew of color options. Plus, with the intermittent mist option I find it disperses the perfect amount of scent and humidity over the day instead of all at once. So I’m super happy and would recommend this diffuser for anyone since it is a median price with premium features. PLUS it obviously looks so much nicer.

A+++++ This unit is plug and play. You fill it (*see below), add the oils, put the top back on, and push the button and the cool steam starts literally immediately, and it emits the scent from the essential oils very well. It's cute, too -- I was worried it might be a little gaudy, but it isn't. The colors are pretty; it's fun to have it on at night while watching movies while it's otherwise dark in the room. It comes in a nice box if you are buying it as a gift. It's also completely silent. My apartment is a long and narrow Victorian and the living room is 16 x 14, and it definitely scents the whole room and the nearby hall. I'm going to order a second one soon for the other end of the flat (there's a 23' long hallway between the front and back, and no way could I expect any scent to travel that far). *After using it a couple of times it stopped working. Oh, NO, not another return! So I called the company (their customer service number is listed inside the box) and left a voicemail, and a very nice woman called me back right away. She very helpfully explained to me that if you use even a drop over the 2 cup water capacity, the unit will not work. Duh. Makes perfect sense. I removed 1/4 cup water and it went right back to working perfectly again. Thanks, nice customer service lady!

This is a great diffuser with some unique capabilities. The first thing I wanted to mention was how powerful the mist is. I love that. Some of the diffusers I have just send out a small, measly mist. This one produces a strong mist that carries the oils farther. I love that I can turn it on to run until the reservoir is empty, which ends up being about ten hours. You can set it for shorter run times, but I like being able to turn it on to diffuse for the entire day and not having to think about it again. You can also select from continuous or intermittent mist. Another cool feature is the lighting capabilities. There is the rotating color option and you can also freeze it on any of the colors so it stays at that color. You can also set it for a soft white, but this diffuser also has a flickering candlelight option which I’ve never seen before on a diffuser. The unit itself is very sturdy and durable. The decorative overlay is made of a very sturdy metal in a pretty decorative design. I love this diffuser. It’s definitely become my favorite or of all of the diffusers I own.

I'm new to essential oils so this is my first diffuser. I absolutely love it! I have been running it 24/7 since I got it (have had it almost a month now) and I have had zero problems with it that I've read about with other diffusers, such as the fake wood ones peeling or getting surfaces wet. This truly produces VAPOR (and a lot of it), I have tested this by putting various items near the diffuser and in the vapor stream (paper towels, electronics) and nothing ever gets wet. I love all the different settings, it is easy to use, easy to clean. I've had it running as long as 20 hours before needing to refill it with water but since I live at high altitude in Colorado (a VERY dry climate), on some days I need to refill it sooner but it will definitely run throughout the night as we sleep. If I'd know I'd enjoy it so much, I would've bought 3 of these all at once. The ONLY thing I'm disappointed with is the flicker setting. The flicker setting is just a flickering white light, not a warm colored glow, so it's not a believable candle but the flicker pattern is good, it does flicker like a candle might, it doesn't blink or go crazy but because it's just white, I always use a solid color setting instead, for better ambiance. You can hear it when it's on, but it's relatively quiet, it's a low audible motor vibrating sound and not a high pitch. If you're sitting in a quiet room, you will notice it, but if you've got music or a TV going, you'll forget it's on cause you won't notice it. I am pleased to say that it does not bother me or my partner when we're sleeping. Will eventually buy a couple more of these. These are great! UPDATE: Now that I've been using this 24/7 for 3 months now, every once in awhile everything within a foot of the diffuser gets very wet. I do not know what causes this to happen, I keep it clean, it happened today after cleaning it. It only happens maybe once every couple of weeks, if even that often but it's a real shame that I have to keep an eye on it to make sure that it does not ruin whatever surface it's on & nearby objects. For this reason, I must deduct one star from my original 5 star rating.

I wanted a diffuser that could hold more water and need less refilling during the winter months. I like to use this as both an oil diffuser and a humidifier during the cold dry months. I also didn't want an ugly looking diffuser that wouldn't match our homes decor. I think this diffuser has met those needs and then some! The diffuser arrived in a very pretty box that had secure packaging inside to limit any damage that could come from shipping. It also came with a cleaning brush, which is very nice to clean any water build up that might occur around the port in the bottom and also the air intake. The diffuser is a pretty design and looks nice on my table (Unlike other diffusers that are so ugly I tried hiding them because they are such an eye sore to me.) The decorative outside seems to be made out a lightweight metal that encases the plastic water reservoir. I really like the look of it, even without the light off. I had no idea how much 500ml of water was, so I measured it! It turns out to be 16oz of water. Which is a nice amount of humidity being put into the air. The stream of water vapors are steady coming out, and lasted for about 9-10 hours on the longest setting. 1 hour is the shortest setting. There is also a mist setting that sends out a mist every 15 seconds. This would be nice in the summer when I want the house less humid, but still want the essential oils in the air. There are 6 color setting and I was surprised to find it had a candle flicker setting. I hadn't read that in the description. I don't think it looks exactly like a candle, a little too electronic style of flicker, but it's a nice option in the evening. Overall, I really like this diffuser for the water capacity, the amount of mist that comes out and the overall design that looks so pretty in my dining room. I may need to order another for my bedroom now! If you're looking for a larger, decorative diffuser this is the one I would recommend. Update: I use this everyday and haven't had any issues with it yet and it's very easy to clean out if you have hard water like I do. I noticed someone mentioned the sound, I guess I never even noticed it but it does make more sound than some of the smaller ones. I would definitely buy this again

My husband and I searched far and wide for an oil diffuser that matched the style of our home and the Secret Garden Essential Oil Diffuser has most certainly fit the bill. We love how this diffuser looks like a decoration (in lieu of the ordinary cheap faux wood) and we are most certainly infatuated with how well it works. Our entire living room quickly filled with the sweet smell of lavender within only a few moments of filling up the diffuser and turning it on. The multi-color light settings are so cool and we are huge fans of the soothing candle light setting. Not only are we obsessed with this product, we were super appreciative of the helpful e-mail sent by BrownCastle and filled to the brim with tips and oil "recipes" to make our home smell like any scent imaginable. Excellent service, incredible, easy to use product and immediate results. We couldn't be more happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend to anyone searching for a diffuser!

I wanted to love this and so wanted it to work properly. Love the variety of lights and stream options, and the chamber size for long term running. However, right out of the box, this diffuser was defective. The stream is strong which is great, but the fan does not direct the stream upward enough and it collapses, forming a puddle of condensation on top of the unit and on the area surrounding it (see video). The amount of condensation shown in the video is after running for about 15 minutes. I gave it several tries over several days and the same happened each time. I am no stranger to diffusers and understand the proper care... I did not overfill, get water in the intake or use inappropriate materials. It is NOT a humidity problem as suggested by a reply to a reviewer with the same issue given I live in the SoCal desert and one cannot find many places with less humidity. Returning for a refund, as I am not willing to take another shot at getting a defective replacement.
