Gold dust! Amazing for intermediate students of Russian
Very hard to get hold of. The vocab (by stanza) actually makes this amazing work accessible for intermediate students of Russian. Now out of print, I think. Gold dust.

A gentle introduction to a difficult poem
Pushkin's masterpiece is very popular in Russia but otherwise only studied by advanced students. This spendid book aims to make it accessible to intermediate students and I think it does this very well. The introduction is also extremly illuminating.Purchased at Amazon and edelivered very quickly.

Stresses and versification
If one is looking for a fully annotated version of Pushkin's text with pages and pages of notes on intertextual references and allusions, with an introduction describing the novel's socio-historical and literary context, then this is not the edition for you. What makes Briggs's edition so appealing to the Russian learner however is the fact that he labels every stress on every word in the text, that he gives a detailed, concise account of the workings of the Onegin stanza and that the glossary of Russian words is categorised by stanza (if you have difficulty in understanding the first stanza, for example, you can find all the difficult words for this stanza together at the back).
