Nice tent
This was a good buy! Pretty easy set up, and gives a lot of space. I say this because I set it up in high winds and was still able to put it up with little issues. This was a great purchase with no regrets in this purchase.

Great Car Camping/Glamping Tent for Tall people
We took this tent out for the first time last weekend with our 2/3 year olds. Coastal state park 50s low/high 65. Car mattress and a tent mattress. Set up was quick and having a tent my husband can fully stand in at 6’5” is great. You have to watch stepping in/out of the tent bc of the waterproof 4” lip but I’d much prefer that than water leaking into your tent. We also hung a $5 camping lantern from target in the middle of the tent.Couple of things to make set up easier. If you’re shorter, attach the tent to your car first then start the top 3 pole insertion.Anyone that had an issue with the ring on the bottom, insert the 4 corner poles into the ring FIRST then slightly bend the pole to insert it into the corner elbow junctions. If you do junction first it’s really tricky to get the pin in.We rolled up the tent first, added poles on top and added stakes/rain fly to the end of the Bag. It was too hard for us to roll all together like a burrito (the way it came.)We didn’t have any mosquitos but we were on the coast. Spacious, easy set up makes this a good fit for family camping or those wanting to dip their toes into camping.

Good Quality. Roomy. Durable.
So I will start with what didn't work. I have an older Ford Explorer. Per reviews someone said it worked on theirs, so I went ahead and bought this tent. The part that goes over the back of the car did not fit. Just could not get it tight enough. Had it rained the tent probably would have flooded. There were gaps on both sides towards the bottom part of the vehicle. The Explorer is just to big. It worked but I could not fully extend my hatch and I was worried the corners of the hatch would poke/tear thru the part that goes over the car.If there are 2 of you, you can easily put on the rain flap. If it is just 1 person, I recommend putting it on b4 raising the tent roof up. It will just be easier.I don't know how anyone; at least the 1st time, could put this tent up alone. It took 2 of us at least an hour. It was super tight trying to fit the poles in the holes. The poles are steel, there is no bend, which is a good thing, very strudy and strong, but hard when there is no give in the tent material and the pole. I am hoping that the next time will be a little easier as the tent may have stretched a little.Okay, with that all being said, I really like the tent. I will be buying a smaller SUV here in the future and I think the tent will fit so much better. I really like how tall it is. It is open. Has 2 big windows and then the door has 2 windows on each side of the opening, so the air flow is great. The tent is like 8'x8' and feels so roomy inside. We had a twin size bed (could of easily fit a queen bed & still had extra room), a table (30'x20'), a small chair in 1 corner, gear, and still lots of room for the 2 of us and the dog to move around, change. It has a center hook to hang our light on and 2 pockets to store gear, phones, etc.Honestly, I am really excited to go camping again once I get my new smaller SUV. The tent material is very durable. Loved the design. This would be a good tent for someone who is tall. My son is 6 ft and had no issues getting in and out or standing up inside the tent.I gave 4 stars because even though it says it would fit my vehicle, it didn't and bcz setting this tent up as 1 person, will be very tricky and hard. I hope that as I practice more at home b4 my next trip that it will get easier and I can come up with some tricks to help. I do believe it is a quality product and worth the money.

Ingenious and easy setup
This tent is absolutely engineered with ingenuity and the simple person in mind. I wanted to give myself the hardest situation I could. I did it myself in 112 deg Fahrenheit weather, and just used the printed instructions and did not use the online video guide. Before i received it, I was skeptical because I wondered how the flap would be able to keep critters out connected to my SUV hatch. The opening to the SUV hatch has its own zipper enclosure so no worries there. Just be sure to shut your SUV hatch before bedtime. The main door is designed with absolute ingenuity. It is an upside down T (3 zippers that intersect at the cross). This makes it easy to open and close. No more of the standard tent half moon zipper. The main door even has windows that you can zipper closed. When reading the instructions, it might be a bit confusing, but once you actually get the pieces for each step you understand easily what the instructions mean. One thing I think the instructions should have included is to put the weather proof top on the tent before raising it up. Because doing it after makes it a bit difficult trying to throw it over and draping it. HOWEVER, remember that I wanted to do it myself. If you have help getting on the too, it is no problem.Doing it in 112 deg F weather actually wasn't too difficult. Just drank water here and there.

Game changer for camping!
We bought this tent to camp with our 2015 Nissan Frontier with an ARE topper. In the past, we put a queen air mattress in the bed, opened the tailgate, and slept with our feet hanging out under the topper. We needed a solution that allowed us more covered space. This tent was the answer. We used it the first night and loved it. Adapting it to an ARE topper is slightly different from an SUV hatch, but it works just fine! (PS - leave the topper back window down when setting up the tent, then use pool noodles on the corner edges of the window.) The enclosed tent room is perfect for chairs, relaxing, and privacy. The awning gives extra space for a table, chairs, and coolers. The setup is pretty straightforward (once you get the hang of it). We didn't use the rainfly because summer has been weather so warm and dry. I am looking forward to more camping adventures with our tent! The photo is for a quick overnight camping trip where we didn't set up the awning. It still gave us more than enough space and the privacy we needed.
