Asics Men's Gel-Defiant Training Shoe

I work on my feet all day walking and stand on concrete. I never found shoes that were the proper width and I finally have! I measured my feet and did the calculations on the exact size of shoes I would need. Searched live strong.com to see what shoes were recommended for working on concrete- Asic's Gels. Found my size on Amazon, placed my order and in 2 days arrived at my house. I loved the first pair I bought so much I ordered a second pair in a different color. I swap them everyday to allow the previous day's to dry and air out. We all know wet feet stink and wet shoes hold the stink. I've shopped in nice stores but no one ever took the time to really find the right shoes for my feet. Buster Brown eat your heart out, I traced my foot and did the calculations and finally have shoes that don't hurt my wide feet. Thanks Amazon and Asic's!

Great shoe! First pair of asics I've ever bought. I have been buying Brooks for the last three to four years for their comfort. I would have to say these are more comfortable, I can stay standing for longer periods (12 hours or more) without any aches. They're not as light as the Brooks so it took a little getting used to for workouts. The area (fabric) around my little toe is starting to weaken; this has happened with other shoes of mine in the past (I tend to push the things I buy to their limits and beyond). I have long, wide, flat feet. Depending on the brand I wear 12's to 13's. Overall a good buy for the price. My next pair will probably be asics again.

This is a great pair of high-quality Asics shoes. I bought these for my 13-year-old son who is extremely rough on shoes. They hold up to school use and cross training after school. He has wore them for 6 months now and they show medium wear. He has a wide foot and is flat footed. It is very hard to find him a shoe that doesn't hurt his feet. He loves these shoes! I love them for the quality! This will be our next pair of shoes when he out grows them.

They fit me as expected and provided me with great support.Unlike many pairs of shoes I've worn, the lack of support was very noticeable once I'd worn them out.Fortunately, I didn't notice any true wear (foot pain, pain after stepping on rocks/debris, etc) until I'd put about 550 miles on them. With 5 - 7 days a week of walking and running on them, that took about three months. Worth it for the price.I liked these so much, I bought two pairs.

Love Asics, and this shoe goes right along with the comfort that I have had with every other pair of Asics I have bought!

My husband is 77 and a very popular trainer of older athletes. I hv to buy him a new pair of shoes every 6 months and asic is his go to shoe. He was very pleased with fit,support and feel of this shoe.

I wish I could give heaps of praise and a 5 star rating for the Amazon fit tool itself. Just an amazing resource. Novel idea to use a 3D laser scanner to build a shoe volume database... then process that data and make comparison's available. JUST SMART AND SUPER USEFUL! I'm jealous I didn't think of the idea and work there to have been the one to see it thru.Anyhow... if you have a pair of shoes now that is fairly common, fairly recent, and not-quite-perfect... no problem. Open a shoes you might want to purchase in browser tabs... then have Amazon compare each new shoe to your old one. With a color wire-mesh picture of a foot... it will show you where the new shoe is smaller or larger. I wanted the same width for my toe box, but a tad shorter with the arch scooted slightly back. Turns out this shoe (compared to a similar one from same brand) in half a size down has the perfect slightly different fit than my old pair. NO WAY I could have done that without the tool. I'm pretty sure I'll not go back to buying shoes any other way... now Amazon... if only you could PLEASE do this for ski-boots... or at least license the idea (if patented) to Evo or someone who specializes in ski / snowboard boots. Please! Would be super helpful!
