This gives a final result of a beachy wave curl after you fuss with the finished barrel curls. Your final result will be determined by your curling products and style. I would say a curl setting product would be helpful. Quick heat set curls don't have the best staying power like a wet overnight set would. My overall opinion is that it is handy and does a decent job. For most people it probably isn't faster than a curling iron. It does help if you are trying to get a barrel wrap instead of a flat wrap and struggle with it. It is also nice for getting the back of the head if you have long hair.
