I didn’t expect this Snake Mountain to be as good as it is. Possibly better than the Origins Castle Grayskull! So many features and some improvements over the original 80s version. The figures all look great posed in and around it. Definitely recommend this as a Christmas gift for kids or adult kids!

There is a lot one could say about what Mattel did well with this set. Sculpted detail, painted detail, nostalgia detail -- all excellent. The packaging not only looks good in an of itself, it's designed to be part of a finished display, too. The flashing lights in the flames look nifty, especially in a dark room. The set feels fairly sturdy for a display piece, so long as you're not planning any rough-and-tumble play with it. The Skeletor figure is very cool, indeed. But there is one area where they really should've done it differently. Nearly the entire throne and platform is "One-Time-Assembly," meaning that once it's clipped together, you can't take it apart again without risking damage to the product. That's great if you're absolutely certain you will never, ever move house again for the rest of your life. But if you don't know what the future will bring -- or even if you might just want to break down the set for easier and more compact storage -- you're now left with a much larger and more delicate item to worry about storing, transporting, and dusting. As for minor gripes, I have two. The serpent staff was packed in such a way that it often comes out of the box warped, but a couple of minutes in boiling-hot water will let you bend it back into shape with little trouble. The instructions say the flashing flames have a timed automatic shutoff feature (after 20 minutes) to conserve battery life, but they don't tell you that you can also hold down the button for the electronic flames for a couple of seconds to turn them off whenever you wish.

Great product, but the box was a bit damaged. Well packaged, but still damaged. It is lucky I'm not a purist collector, otherwise I would have had an issue with the box.

Hoy me llegó la nueva snake mountain de origins y mejoro en detalles a la original, incluye tres criaturas, una araña, una cabeza de serpiente acuatica y un ser especie de cocodrilo que ambas se supone emergen de una ciénaga, la serpiente es muy buena, tiene quijada y cuello articulado, es de un material más fuerte y se ve imponente, el micrófono de lobo que ahora es de vinil un material fuerte y ahora es una especie de tótem de una religión oscura, trae armero y tres piezas verde limón bonitas, espada/Lanza/escudo, escalera rústica de plástico verde militar, trono de huesos gris, jaula armable, trampilla con acción de resorte, las cadenas quebradizas ahora son de un material flexible, tengo la montaña original y al abrirla y probar los grilletes con una figura se rompieron los grilletes por su material tan frágil,. la caja viene molona, con gráficos de los exclusivos Moss Man, Frog Monger, Screech, the Skeleton army, point dread y talon Fighter, Mekaneck y Road Ripper. Bonus me llegó con caja oficial de empaque protector para retail USA. Lo notable es la ausencia del gimmick del micrófono pero me gustó mucho, me da esperanzas de que viene la última carga con mejores detalles.

Mooie aanvulling naast Castle Grayskull in de Origins reeks. Veel leuke details en groot in omvang. Collectors item.

Produkten är ju fin, men Amazons leverans av denna vara är ju under all kritik. Den skickas utan något som helst skydd runt lådan och adresslappen klistrad direkt på lådan, och om man tycker om att samla på oöppnade saker är ju detta inget vidare. Speciellt när lådan kommer med en stor skada på baksidan. Inte för att amazon bryr sej, men detta gör ju att man drar sej för att beställa något om man vill ha det i nyskick när det kommer.
