Well made and cool one but not as helpful as I expected
Priced at £33, it appeared to be a reasonable investment for a touch of smart technology in my home.Upon receiving the bin, I was pleased with its sleek and compact design. It was smaller than I had anticipated, but its unobtrusive size made it perfect for discreet placement in various rooms. I decided to first try it out in my home office, where I often accumulate small bits of rubbish like paper scraps and packaging materials.Setting up the bin was straightforward. It required just a few batteries to power the motion sensor, and it was ready to go. The touchless feature worked seamlessly; with a simple wave of my hand, the lid opened smoothly, allowing me to dispose of my rubbish without any hassle. This feature was particularly useful when my hands were full or messy, such as when I was snacking at my desk or working on a project. However, its capacity of 7 litres quickly became evident as it filled up faster than I would have liked. It was indeed best suited for light, small-scale use rather than for large quantities of waste. In my office, it handled paper scraps and other small items efficiently, but I found myself emptying it more frequently than a standard bin.Encouraged by its performance in the office, I tried the bin in other areas of my home. In the bathroom, it was perfect for small hygiene products and tissues, keeping the space tidy and hygienic. The waterproof feature gave me peace of mind, knowing that any accidental splashes wouldn’t damage the bin or interfere with its functionality. In the kitchen and living room, however, its limited capacity meant it wasn't ideal for regular household waste, but it excelled at handling lightweight rubbish like wrappers and receipts. One aspect I particularly appreciated was the bin's ability to maintain hygiene. The motion sensor and automatic lid meant I rarely had to touch the bin, reducing the spread of germs – a feature that is especially welcome in the bathroom and kitchen.

Discrete, neat bin that works very efficiently
This review is for Dawitrly Smart Bathroom Trash Bin, 7 Liter Waterproof Motion Sensor Trash Can with Lid, Touchless Automatic Garbage Waste Can, Small Rubbish Bin for Bathroom, Toilet, Bedroom, Living Room, Kitchen. This is a great little bin with a fast-opening sensor-controlled lid. There were no instructions in my box, but it was pretty simple to work out. Remove the black rubber seal over the battery compartment and pop in 2x AA batteries (not included). Then the infrared sensor will open the lid of the bin surprisingly quickly, closing again after about five seconds. Its a fun gimmick to play with at first, but actually turns out to be a really useful and reliable mechanism. At the moment we are using the bin in our living room, as it is discrete enough, and neat with its closed lid, so the contents cannot be seen. It would also be suitable for bathroom use, especially as the closed lid would keep odours under control. The bin is 26 x 26 x 15 cm in size, and when the lid section is removed to get at the inside, there is a ring to hold the bag in place inside the bin - so no need for ugly bin liners hanging out over the outside edge of the bin.Overall, I'm very happy with this bin, priced at around £30 at the time of review, including a promo code. It is good value for money and I'm happy to rate it five stars.

Super quiet - large capacity, great quality
In the past, our bathroom bins have been stainless steel with a plastic inner. Over time, the lids would get rusty despite being labeled as stainless steel, so it was great to find this new bin.Setting it up was easy—just insert 2 AA batteries, add the garbage bag fixing ring, and then put the top on!Now for the cool part: to open the lid, you just wave your hand or foot over the sensor, and it opens automatically. You have about 3 seconds to throw your tissues in before it closes on its own.The bin is made of high-quality waterproof plastic, so it won’t rust and is super easy to clean. I’m very happy with it so far. Not sure how long the batteries will last since the sensor is always drawing power, but the product page says about 3 months with normal use (whatever that means).Lastly, the product page mentions you can open the lid with a gentle tap on the side, but that didn’t work for me. However, waving my hand over the sensor works just fine, so it’s not an issue for me.

Convenient, compact and works well
I have two women living in my home and have been in need of a bin with a sealed lid for some time. This bin works excellently and is perfect for my little bathroom. The bin's small size and slim shape make it easy to find a place for it near my toilet, and the white colour means it doesn't look out of place. The sensor works excellently. I no longer need two hands to take the lid off and put trash inside. It is super easy, as all I need to do now is move my hand towards the bin's sensor, and the lid opens automatically, which is very convenient. The lid opens at a comfortable speed and gives you enough time to throw your trash in the bin before it closes. Interestingly, the lid closes in two stages, as it goes down a little over halfway before stopping for a moment and then closing completely. This works very well as a nice and quiet soft-close feature. The lid seems to stay sealed well and holds any smells inside the bin without any issues. The bin needs two AA batteries to operate, which are not provided. The batteries are easy to install and will last for around three months, which is excellent performance and very convenient.I am very happy with this small and convenient bin and would happily recommend it.

Small trash bin
This trash bin has an automated opening and closing lid, triggered by a motor sensor placed on one side, on top of the bin. The item requires two AA batteries which are not provided in the package, so you'll need them before being able to use it properly. It's easy to open and exchange the trash bag inside of it, and has an anchor plastic to keep the bag into place.
