Colour Mill Oil-Based Food Coloring, 100 Milliliters White

My go to white food colouring it’s so effective you only need a few drops and the colour is very pigmented and you can’t taste it it’s a good value for money for such a big bottle

This is a great product which I used to whiten my buttercream for an engagement cake and cupcakes. Although I used it all, it did the job perfectly. Will buy again. Great products

Really good also for lightening a darker colour buttercream

Used in white chocolate ganache for covering a wedding cake. Had to discard the first batch as it split after adding the colouring. (The only time ganache has split on me) Tried another batch and the flavour was bitter and the texture was grainy and it had a dull finish. Ended up using an uncoloured ganache, the bride was fine with this when I explained, thankfully.

I usually order Colour Mill products and use their oil-based food coloring regularly as they’re one of my favorite brands for cake decorating. Unfortunately I had a frustrating experience with this specific order. I ordered the white oil-based coloring, but received black instead. I requested a return and reordered twice more and each time the bottle labeled “white” actually contained black coloring. Now I have 3 containers of black coloring instead of white. I think there may be a labeling error because the product sticker says white (see attached picture) but the color inside is clearly black. Amazon support was sort of helpful and said they would notify the seller, but I wanted to leave this review so other customers and the brand are aware of the issue. I still recommend Colour Mill and will continue using their products but if you urgently need the white color for an event or cake order, you may want to double-check with the seller first. I unfortunately had to purchase another brand because I couldn’t get the correct item ahead of time.

Very good quality is worth to pay, no taste at all and color is excellent!!

I only use this brand for oil based coloring. It mixes in very well.
