5-Minute Sketching -- Architecture: Super-Quick Techniques for Amazing Drawings

I love thus book. It's full of good ideas, nice examples and having read it through, I often return to it.

A wonderful book describing architecture from different time periods, how to approach sketching them and what details to keep or not. I haven't finished the book yet but I've been drawing some of the illustrations in order to get the feel of what is being taught. I shall carry on to the end, learning new tricks and trying different ideas. My only suggestion would be that it's very small format and would be better in A4 format or larger. Having said that, the price makes it more affordable to those of us with limited funds.

An interesting and helpful book for wannabe artist like me 😀

By page eight I could not resist, so I grabbed a ball point pen & started sketching, the book inspires you to do that. Most other books bore or scare you in their first few pages with what equipment you need and the vast number of mediums out there to buy.

Just the inspiration I needed. Nothing more. No waffle, just common sense hints.

Fantastic book. I really like it.

I really like the way it helps you to see your subject more clearly and work out where to start and how to build your drawing up logically. You can dip into any of the chapters to learn and refresh your memory as you draw. It makes something that I found a very complicated process much more manageable. The tips on perspective and using light and shadow really help you to capture the whole scene, while the section on key architectural elements is great for quick practice sketches and helping you to hone in on the details.

Me interesa el boceto urbano y buscaba una guía para dibujar arquitectura urbana. Da muchos tips bastante buenos a la hora de dibujar, así como distintas técnicas y materiales que usar en tus sketches. Lo recomiendo para tener unas bases.

Demorou mais chegou. Ótimo livro.

Ce livre permet de comprendre les points essentiels à mettre en avant pour personnaliser ses dessins d'architecture, afin de leur donner très vite une allure plutôt artistique que banale. De nombreux dessins souvent avec aquarelle, de différents artistes, déjà pour le plaisir des yeux.
