Alto flutes are expensive and fairly heavy instruments and, when resting they can be rather balanced compromised. It is therefore important for stability that a stand is firm and sufficiently sturdy. The Hercules Alto Flute Stand I can highly recommend as study and with the high central pole and long fixed legs will certainly prevent `flute wobble`. I highly recommended this stand.
