I took this unit out fishing 4 times. I attached it to one of my fishing poles and cast it out. The readings were very accurate (I used it on lakes here I already knew the contour) Where the unit showed there were fish was also very accurate. I have been able to locate fish like never before from shore just like on my boat! I love that! A few of the days that I went shore fishing were quite windy (20-30 mph wind gusts). Taking my inflatable boat out on the water was not possible. I was impressed with how well balanced the transducer was in the winds and waves. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone that fishes from shore! Being able to identify the bottom contour, the depth of the water and the location of the fish saves a lot of time and energy. Being able to adjust my slip bobber before I start casting so as to not get hung up and lose my hooks and weights has been very nice! This unit will always be with me when shore fishing from now on!

So far this fish finder looks like crap. In 20 ft of water it reads 500 feet depth when max depth supposed to be 120 ft. Its display of fish in the lake also shows up in my kitchen. The same display shows up every fish hole even 300 feet apart. Value is its worthless because it does not work as advertised- does not work more than turning on. Once on all readings are totally false. I plan to return.

Works great. The first time I took it out & used it I caught my limit of bass. No more fishing dead spots .
