This device worked exactly as expected. This is my second time using this product. I needed a device that would allow me to extend my MacBook Pro Display at work and my boss ordered it for me. You have to download the correct driver but once you do it automatically activates. I ordered this device again for my home set up because I knew exactly the quality I would be getting. It has a sleek attractive design that you can lay out on top of your desk and driver installation was simple. I highly recommend this device if you are like me and have a MacBook that you want to extend display.

Ordered it, got it on-time as promised, and installed it. I'm running Windows 11, so it was plug-and-play, though I ran a manual driver update and was told I was good. Image quality on the two outboard screens is perfectly usable, though limited to HD resolution (which is more than enough for regular work). I'm connected to a slightly under-powered Lenovo IdeaPad running an Intel i3 and I'm using a USB-A port (so without the USB C adapter in place, but still tethered to the connector. Occasionally, I get a glitch or pause, at worst I'll get the boot-up screen from the device on the outboard monitors, but it seems more tied to my laptop needing a reboot. Simple, easy, fast to deploy and good output quality. The only thing I wished was it had an option to add a longer cable from the computer to the extender device to allow me to do a better job hiding the extender in a less conspicuous place. All-in-all, I'm very happy with the WAVLINK extender and consider it a good value.

I cannot tell you how long and how much money I’ve spent thus far trying to find an adapter to plug it so that I can run my dual monitors with my MacBook air M4. I purchased other expensive ones but they don’t run dual individual screen. It will extend to one screen but it won’t to two. I previously purchased the ankle one for 2 HDMI and spent $119… thinking oh maybe it will work no it did not… I did exactly as an instruction and I downloaded the drivers. Mind you I had to delete the ones I previously had installed because I tried doing it and it wouldn’t work and I plugged it in and what do you know from start to plug it in it took at least 10 minutes from download to now two screens working with my MacBook as an additional little screen. I have 2 27 inch curved Samsung monitor monitors, I’m working on my at home set up at this moment and I cannot tell you how excited I am to finally find a device that actually works.. especially having a MacBook… I was worried I would try it and they would do it again and I would have to return it to Amazon and keep buying and returning until I found one that actually worked.. and this works amazing!!! So if you’re trying to find an adapter that plugs in to HDMI for two dual screens on top of your computer screen or your laptop screen and you have a MacBook Air a MacBook Pro or a MacBook Neo then this is for you…. Stop searching and buy this.

Small, lightweight, and compact. Works well with multiple USB and HDMI ports. Doesn't take up much space either.

Bought this to extend additional monitors on my 2015 MacBook Pro laptop. Took a bit of reading through the product manual, but was able to find a Legacy driver to work with my laptop and it’s all functional ! So excited I can get done what I need to! Only reason for 4 stars is I had to dig through the website to figure out my correct driver.

I had purchased two other HDMI adapters for my MacBook Pro that didn't work. The drivers I installed didn't work. The monitor was not recognizing the other adapters. The first adapter was a cheap crap one and had poor installation directions. The second adapter was from a legit brand/maker, but it still did not work. So, with frustration, I looked for another adapter for the third time. I came across this Wavlink adapter and it was also on sale, so I figured I would give it a shot. Honestly, the timing could not have been better since this adapter was not on sale the first time I came across it (which is why I bought the other adapters), but now was able to buy this adapter at a 44% discount thanks to the other two adapters not working and me searching Amazon again and coming across this Wavlink adapter again. The installation was very easy. The website looked professional (which I can't say that for the first adapter's website) . Installing the driver was very easy. I plugged the adapter into my Macbook and attached the HDMI cable to the 2k port of the adapter and "presto" it worked !!! I am very happy I finally found an adapter that works with my MacBook Pro mid-2012 running OS Catalina (10.15).

Do not buy this device unless you have a Mac OS 14.2 or newer. Although the instruction manual states that this device supports Mac OS 10.8 and newer, this would not work for my Mac OS 12.7.5. When attempting to download the required software, there was an error message that states that the device only supports Mac OS 14.2.0 or newer. When calling the customer service number, they told me that since I had a Mac OS 12.7.5, the device would work with my MacBook. When I told them about the error message requiring a Mac OS 14.2.0 to download the software, they told me to reach out to Apple to resolve the issue. I tried calling their customer service number a second time and they essentially blocked my number. I’m not sure why they blocked me since I was polite, and I don’t make a big deal out of things over the phone or ask to speak with a manager, etc. Just wanted to get a second opinion. It’s apparent that if you try to call them a second time from the same number, they will put you on a blocked list. You’re much better off buying the “j5create - USB 3.0 to Dual HDMI Multi-Monitor Adapter”. The set up is a bit complicated, and it’s $10 more than this product, but it actually works for my MacBook as advertised.

This is the thing to buy if you want to set up a 3rd or 4th monitor for your laptop. It works perfectly, as long as you are not putting any heavy workload on the extended screens. If you are using this for work purposes, I have nothing to say to you. But if you are a gamer, I'm here to warn you. If you don't have a beefy GPU for your laptop, setting up a 3rd or 4th screen that uses DisplayLink technology will hinder your performance, "By quite a lot". You might have silky smooth FPS for games running only 2 monitors, adding the one extra will occasionally give you hiccups and frame drops, and they are not for you to expand your game window up to 3 different monitors due to FPS limitations. For games that require processing power, you might not even be able to play at the setting you used to have, because part of it needed to be divided for your "3rd monitor". So please think it through before buying this gadget and your 3rd/4th monitor. Do you really need the extra panels, and are you able to sacrifice the performance power for them?

Um achado! Esse bicho resolveu a maior dor de cabeça (creio que seja de muita gente) para conseguir espelhar a tela do notebook para o segundo monitor. Como a profundidade da minha mesa não comporta o próprio notebook devido ao monitor principal que uso em outro PC mais o monitor secundário que uso para ambos, esse adaptador é uma excelente opção custo benefício que entrega o que promete: espelhar a tela do notebook para um monitor externo com delay praticamente zero com uso do mouse. E o mais importante é que ele é compatível com a conexão USB-C 3.2 Gen1 que só transmite dados, aquele que não tem a transmissão nativa para geração de vídeo como ocorre em USB-C do tipo Thunderbolt ou DisplayPort Alt Mode em notebooks mais modernos, pois é o adaptador que possui uma placa de vídeo externa que é ativada após instalação do driver do fabricante. É só entrar no site deles sugerido no passo-a-passo do manual do usuário para baixar, instalar, reiniciar o PC, e pronto! Muito simples e rápido! Só depois de reiniciar que o PC já começa a dar vídeo! Eu precisei deste dispositivo para o meu notebook da Asus Vivobook que só possui uma entrada HDMI, e o USB-C dele só consegue transferir dados. Quando peguei esse notebook eu recorria a adaptadores baratinhos que na verdade nem resolveram o problema, porque além de delay que incomodava, algumas vezes o meu PC congelava ou dava tela azul devido a drivers de baixa qualidade. Logo, tive que pesquisar mais a fundo até achar esse da Wavlink. É o valor relativamente alto, mas é o menor dentre os adaptadores / dockstations mais avançados do mercado. Logo, resolvi escolher este que já atende às minhas expectativas. E o mais surpreendente disso tudo é que ele se mostrou capaz de transmitir 120Hz na minha Ultragear 144Hz se eu plugar na entrada 4K. Acredito que essa taxa é a máxima que o adaptador consegue entregar, mas fica excelente para trabalhar, a navegação fica bem mais fluída! Então fica a dica para quem tiver cabo HDMI 2.0 ou acima. Resumo da ópera: quem tiver notebook cuja entrada USB-C não é DisplayPort Alt Mode ou Thuderbolt, esse adaptador já entra para resolver o problema. Deixo esse recado para que outros clientes possam ver antes de comprar. Enfim, podem comprar sem medo!

Brilliant item, does exactly what it says it does. No hanging power leads or adapters needed, works straight out of the box. If it wasn't so pricey I would buy one work, but happy to have this when WFH.

works fine. Note this is a software solution so even if your PC does not have DP ALT support, this still works. The display update is not quite fast enough for gaming, but its fine for spreadsheets or even watching a youtube video.

Este adaptador ha sido una solución clave para mi forma de trabajar. Uso una MacBook Air y, como es sabido, de serie no permite conectar dos pantallas externas. Yo trabajo habitualmente con tres pantallas a la vez (la del portátil más dos externas), así que necesitaba una solución fiable y estable, y este adaptador de Wavlink ha cumplido perfectamente. El funcionamiento es sencillo: a través de USB permite sacar señal de vídeo adicional y conectar dos monitores externos sin problemas. La imagen es estable, no hay cortes ni comportamientos extraños, y el rendimiento es consistente siempre. Para quien necesita espacio visual real para edición, escritura, análisis financiero, multitarea intensiva, esto no es un lujo, es una herramienta de trabajo. En mi caso, fue la única solución viable para mantener mi configuración habitual, y lo hace francamente bien. Cumple lo que promete y permite trabajar con comodidad allí donde el hardware del portátil se queda corto.
