SUIZAN Ryoba Double Edge Saw 9.5" Assembly ver - Professional Japanese Pullsaw Handsaw Woodworking Tools

This is my 3rd different saw from Suizan. After trying a variety I can safely say this blade simply does it better. The nadle is long and easy to grip and the blade cuts like butter on hardwood. As someone who enjoys cutting dovetail but always seems to struggle with getting clean easy cuts this saw has been a massive helper and greatly improved my cuts. The saw is well structured, sharp, and meets the functional needs to be a great tool. I also like that the blade width isn’t too wide.

I suggest saving $10 and buying the unassembled option. However, this saw is worth several times the price. I needed to cut through round log furniture to make modifications. After watching two videos for ten minutes, I made near perfect cuts without breaking a sweat. Over the next few weeks, I used the saw dozens of times to restore furniture that had been in storage, all because the saw is so accurate and so easy to use. The high quality of this saw is impossible to describe, a great value!

My old flat saws had finally given up a busy life, so reluctantly I ordered this Suizan Ryoba Double edge saw. This thing is a cutting beast. I've clung to my old saws like lifelong friends and at 70 years old and doing woodworking for most of them, I realized I've been putting forth way too much effort in sawing with my badly worn flat saws. When I put the Suizan to wood, I was put back at how effortless and swiftly the saw went through hardwood. My old saws were beginning to drift off square a tad, but the new Suizan Ryoba slipped throught the wood with ease and perfectly square every cut. This saw is a value, is extremely sharp and cuts true. Buy one of these things. I think it deserves a Haiku, Saw saw so swiftly Dust of wood to earth raining Awe the masters hand.

Good saw, but it broke after about 1 year of ocasional use. Standard pull saw length. Very well sharpened. one side quickly saws through rip cuts, while the other side makes crosscuts easy. powerful teeth. It worked well before it broke. the handle is standard and ergonomic. super easy to assemble. great for a beginner , but if your using it frequently you might go for a more high end model.

Couldn't be happier with this! It cut through bolivian rosewood like butter! It's a good beginner handsaw and is very easy to use. It's comfortable and has a nice light weight to allow longer use! The teeth are sharp, and exact, the handle is light, and the assembly process is easy. One screw, and done! Functions exactly like you'd think. The handles allow easy grip. The length is as advertised with a 9.5 inch blade. Would easily buy again, and will buy another Suizan product!

Best wood saw I got, haven't fired the electric skillsaw, since the purchase even with that old hard 2 x 6 cuts I just made for the deck. 1 thing, this thing is SUPER SHARP, any touch however light and you will be bleeding !!! Just like the Japanese tri-cut blades I have for tree trimming. Thats why they work so well.

I've had trouble using push saws because of issues with shoulders that caused pain when a push saw jammed or got stuck. Bought this saw hoping it would relieve the issue. This saw is great! Besides no pain using the saw I found it much easier to use than a push saw. I first tried a rip cut on a piece of pine, basically cut a 4" X 8" piece into three boards. Took some trial and error, but in the end I had made three boards 1/2" thick with little deviation of the cut. This took some time, but my arms never tired or hurt in any way. The handle is fairly long so you can easily adjust your grip. The saw was also very good at making crosscuts that were accurate and clean. The blade is quite thin, flexible, and sharp. Think it would be very good at cutting trim pieces like the bottom of doors when replacing flooring. I would highly recommend this saw to anyone. The ease of use and accuracy to me are much better than the standard push saw, especially for rip cuts.
