Accurate, Easy Plug-and-Play HUD That Improves Driving Convenience
This KUOWEIHUD head-up display is a great addition for a car with an older-style speedometer. It matches my vehicle’s speed very closely and, in some cases, even seems more accurate than my built-in speedometer. For example, when I was using a spare tire, my car’s speedometer was slightly off, but the HUD showed what felt like the true speed.Installation was extremely simple—just plug and play with no complicated setup needed. Once it’s on, it makes driving much easier since I don’t have to look down at my dashboard to check my speed anymore. The visibility is generally very good, and there are multiple display settings (5 different options) so you can adjust the layout and brightness to your preference. It’s easy to customize depending on driving conditions. On very bright sunny days, the display can be a little harder to see at certain angles, but overall it’s still readable and usable.Overall, it’s a very practical and affordable upgrade that improves driving safety and convenience with an accurate real-time speed display and minimal setup required.

Straightforward and functional - love!
Really easy to set up and very functional! The numbers are easily readable in all light levels, and not too bright at night. I love the simple design and navigation, and I love that you can control whether the device makes noise or not. There is a setting that will make the device beep repeatedly if you hit or surpass a certain speed, and the default value is 75mph. This is a nuisance on road trips when on interstates that have speed limits of 80mph, so it was helpful to find out that I could edit the speed it checks for or even turn off checking for a certain speed. When you hit the designated speed, it will beep several times and then stop beeping, but the numbers will flash as long as you're at or over that speed. When you hit the speed again (either coming down or going up), it will beep several times again. This is nice as an audio indicator of your speed if you like that, and would be good for situations like a teen learning to drive. The default speed accuracy was off by about 2mph (over my actual speed), which you can easily adjust in a setting on the device to get a perfectly accurate speed reading. This connected to GPS very quickly and easily for me once I plugged it in. For reference, I live within city limits of a medium size city and within range of multiple cell towers. Connectivity and connection time can vary depending on your location. This doesn't connect if my car is in a structure like a parking garage, but will connect shortly after leaving the garage.Overall, this is a wonderful value. I'm very happy with this purchase! It would be nice if it was wireless and powered by solar (since it already sits on the dash), but I'm happy with it as-is.

Handy little gadget that does exactly what it says.
This handy little gadget works well overall, though it does seem to read about a mile or two per hour higher than my actual speed. I’ve used it during both daytime and nighttime driving, and the display is bright enough to see clearly even in the harsh Texas sun. At night, you can easily dim the brightness for more comfortable viewing. Switching between miles and kilometers is simple too.The base sits securely on the dashboard without any adhesive. So far, mine has stayed firmly in place, even when taking sharp corners on purpose. The unit itself feels solid and well made, and it has handled the Texas heat without any issues.I also like the customizable speed alarm that alerts you when you exceed your set speed, and the built-in compass is a nice bonus. The only downside is that the directional letters on the compass are fairly small and can be difficult to read at a glance. One of my favorite features is being able to keep my eyes on the road instead of looking down at Android Auto. Since my truck’s factory speedometer is inaccurate due to oversized tires, this has been especially useful for me.

This thing is awesome!
I decided to give this HUD a shot after paroosing Amazon for one, and I'm so glad I did! Firstly, setup, while a bit confusing, is easy to do once you read the manual. Secondly, if you purchase a mount for it, it makes it MUCH more functional. Thirdly, it's auto brightness, GPS connectivity, and reliability all work flawlessly! I did have to adjust the speed to be -1 mph to match my car, but that's pretty typical for most cars I believe. Honestly it's as if it came factory with the car! Didn't even have to use the reflective film on the windshield because it gets bright enough. Also the speed warning beeps are annoying so I just set mine to over 200 mph and it will never bug me again (unless I can somehow get my Odyssey to go 200 mph LOL). Overall very satisfied!

Cool, useful gadget
I like it, before this I used mostly my GPS to check my speed, and for that I would have to glance down. Also have to glance down slightly to look at the speedometer. This thing you don't have to do that, you can do an eyeball glance any time you want. Even though its a new element in my vehicle, I'm not distracted by it, just info to be used any time you feel like it.Pros - Plug & play* Auto dimming is a nice touch, readable on a sunny day or dead of night* Basic compass is nice as well with 8 readingsCons -* Projection is slightly blurry, I tried various distances on the sloping dash hoping is would pop into focus. Its not too bad though, and I never tried the included diffuser strip, or whatever it is, works fine on bare glass.* Would be nice if you could angle it away from your vision so that only the reflection is visible, the bare green light on the dash is slightly distracting.Interestingly, you can't see this from the outside in front, but its visible from anywhere behind, I have already had looks of envy from people at traffic lights noticing it.My only real gripe is the cord snaking down the dash to the power. I hot glued it to make is unintrusive as possible, but there is not much you can do. The only way I could get under my dash is through the radio, if I ever have that out I am going to flush install this thing in the dash, maybe with a bevel around it ,, It would look factory, and hide the cord completely.

Works at a lower altitudes
Work great until you are above 6000 feet then it just blank and as soon as I go to a lower altitude it starts working again. At first I thought it was the mountains blocking the signal but I was at a high plain with no mountains (8000ft) still nothing. So as long as you don’t live in the Rocky Mountains or Travel in Idaho, Montana, Utah, Wyoming, or Colorado. You will be fine.

It is a suitable replacement for a built in HUD at a great price
I've had this for a couple of months now and so far it works well. It is synced with my actual speed, so no adjustments were needed, the only change I needed to make was to disable the audio alarm for exceeding a default speed limit that was set with the device. Didn't need the windshield sticker either, works fine without it, so that's a plus. It is a suitable replacement for a built in HUD, which I have in all my other vehicles, and it comes in at a great price. Installed in 2025 Ford Maverick using USB A port.

Keep looking. Zero stars
It’s not accurate. Look elsewhere. Didn’t return on time so I lost the opportunity to return. Waste of money

High quality product
Very quality product. It takes some time to initiate when you connect for the first time. But overall quality and working is excellent. I am very happy with the display. Very useful while driving on expressways where there is ceiling on the maximum speed allowed. The display is bright during daytime
