Butler table
I bought 2 of these tables, great value for money and look good. I use them each day, when having lunch in the evening

Lacks a strap!
If you were considering buying this please carefully check the dimensions of the tray, as it is slightly smaller than I thought it would be! However, that is entirely my fault for not the fault of the product. My one criticism of the product design is there is no strap to hold the legs in place, Therefore when one lifts up the tray to carry it, the legs in a slightly comical manner fall to the floor!

Love the tray but the holder let’s it down
We found the same as previous customers. The collapsible holder just collapses so useless if you want to put a full tray on top without help. My husband, being the engineer he is, attached two cords to the holder and that works fine. But be warned.

Unfit for purpose.
This is a dreadful excuse of a Butler's tray, the idea of which is to sit your tray of drinks in the garden until you lift the tray and fetch your next drinks. One problem, the design of this means that (on a patio) it's unable to find traction and therefore support itself without the tray nestled into place. Meaning that when you lift your tray (and empty glasses) the frame folds in on itself. Similarly, should you return with your filled drinks it will do the same unless one person stabilises the frame to ensure you have the tray 'just right' in order for the two to combine so the frame doesn't collapse. Just a fraction out and - collapse - you have drinks, glass and whatever at your feet. Then there's the quality. The item was poorly finished with rough edges and marks to the wood. Certainly not the quality that Charles Bentley suggest. Not British made, if that matters to you - is made in Vietnam. It doesn't matter to me, a crap item is a crap item, wherever it's made. You might have gleaned, I would discourage anyone from buying this. With the only caveat being that if you don't mind the poor quality, then it might work on grass without folding in on itself, perhaps as long as the grass is always dry!NB. I've received an email from the company now saying they want me to pay for the item. This, an item not fit for purpose and poorly finished.

Fabulous
Fabulous item , ideal for my elderly mother as very sturdy. The sides are really helpful as it stops her drinks from falling off

Unsafe to use
The quality of the tray and the quality of the wood in the folding legs was ok. However when you set the tray on the stand it just collapsed and hit the ground. There was nothing to keep the legs from collapsing like straps across the top when opened up. Thankfully I tried it out before I put anything on the tray. Had to return it as it was unsafe. Had to contact the seller after3months as no refund was made upon its return.
