## Description

SlipDoctors Stone Grip Industrial Non-Slip Tile Treatment for Porcelain, Ceramic, Stone & Concrete Floors, Indoor/Outdoor Anti-Slip Solution (1 Quart) - Health And Personal Care - desertcart.com

Review: Actually Made My Slippery Tile Safer After Just One Application - I bought this for a very slippery tile surface that became slick when wet, and I was pleasantly surprised by how well it worked. Before applying, I thoroughly cleaned the area and made sure it was completely dry. I wore rubber gloves and used a sponge to apply the product, working in small sections at a time. I noticed a difference within about 5 minutes. After the treatment, I neutralized the surface with a baking soda and water mixture, wiped everything up, and then rinsed very well. The process was straightforward and the instructions were easy to follow. What impressed me most was that the tile looked exactly the same afterward. There was no noticeable change in color, shine, or appearance. The biggest difference was the improved traction. The slippery feeling was gone after a single application, which was exactly what I was hoping for. If you have tile or stone floors that become dangerously slick when wet, taking the time to prep the surface properly and work in small areas really helps. Based on my experience, this product delivered the results it promised.
Review: Idiot-proof and effective - There were several steps on the instructions that made this seem a lot more complicated than it has to be. If I'd been applying it inside, it would have been more important. In any case, I had a porch with stairs and incredibly slick porcelain tiling. Since I put the tile down last year, I've been in constant fear of death on these things. It's a minor miracle there isn't a pile of delivery worker bodies out there. Originally I had placed rubber mats on the stairs, but then these too were just extremely slick. I figured enough was enough and I found this Stone-Grip stuff. At less than 50 bucks the price was right to give it a try. There are a bunch of steps. Treat a tiny area using a mop or spray applicator. Use a rubber shoe to test traction. Spray with neutralizer. Just a lot of things there that any normal person could do with materials on hand. But for whatever reason I guess I don't have a mop here and hell if I am gonna get a pressure spray applicator. I filled up two spray bottles, one with this stuff and one with the baking soda basic neutralizer. Sprayed it all over the stairs, waited I dunno, 10, 15, maybe 20 minutes? Sprayed with the neutralizer and flushed with water. I can barely slide if I try even when the tile is covered in water. Incredible stuff. Like, I'm doing an desertcart review because I am just blown away with what some chemicals can do. Better living something something. I don't see how it could have worked better if I'd followed the instructions properly but if you do that I'm sure it works really well for you too. As an idiot, I completely disregarded all of that "test with a shoe" stuff, and it still worked without damaging my tile. Probably don't want to just leave it on there though I mean you should probably neutralize and flush it out of there. I wouldn't skip that step. It's a slow acting acid but I mean I bet it does a number on tile if you left it for hours. Who knows tho. 8/5 would tile more things just to spray with this stuff.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: How does it work? Does it etch the floor and/or change the appearance of the tile?**
A: It is an acid, and does etch the tile. Only you can know if it is acceptable. It does work well in a shower.

**Q: Is it difficult to get the floor clean after application (for regular floor cleaning)?**
A: Since I applied this in a shower area, the floor stays fairly clean. Besides the usual cleaning, I have never had any troubles with this product. To date, floor is still non slippery.

**Q: it says to neutralize it, what do you use to do that**
A: Plain water works but you can also mix it with 1/4 to1/2 tbs of baking soda per quart.

**Q: Can this be used on exterior honed granite? The honed granite is a public walkway in a city so lots of foot traffic.**
A: I am not sure. I used it on floor tile that someone had installed outside a front entrance. When it rain it turned into a skating rink. It definitely took care of the problem. I can not say it dulled the tile. However we are talking two different materials.

### ⭐ Sadly disapointed.

So very sad to have to write this. Read up on options, watched videos of Stone Grip being applied and how it held up. Waited until I'd have an empty house and started the process. Followed instructions 100%. At first I thought our dangerously slippery floors were in the past. Then at 3 days after we could use them again the dirt started accumulating on the floors by sticking to the new coating. When I went to wipe up these new weird dirty areas they seemed to come clean and I was relieved. By 7 days we no longer had any slip resistance but did have smeary looking floors. Took a lot of scrubbing to get them back to original. What a colossal waste of time and money.
