It is sturdy and the same size as came on my trailer. It has a rubber gasket on the pin which should keep water and dust from entering the switch. It came with 48" cable the same length as my old breakaway switch cable. My old switch pin did not have a rubber seal and when I tested it the pin had seized in the switch and broke when I pulled it out. It a good safety idea to always check your switch operation.

Product description says this product made by Bargman which is the brand originally used on my trailer. This was more expensive than the alternatives, but I wanted to buy the name brand since this is a safety device. However the part that was delivered was made in China by Cequent. Even worse, I cannot pull the pin out of the switch body with all my strength. I will return and buy a different brand.
