I wasn't sure that I would be able to just leave this on the kitchen counter. I thought I might have to stow it, and that would mean I would probably use it less. I cleared out all of the little knickknacks that were accumulating in the corner of the counter, and the crepe maker fits well in their place. When not in use, I covered it a 13" woven place-mat ($3.00), and put a paper towel holder on top of it. I've only used it twice, so I can't comment on its durability. Generally, I am hopeless at making crepes, but I made buckwheat crepes with this crepe maker, and that worked out well. I'm still learning how to spread the batter correctly. So far, the crepes I've made seem to be cooking a little more slowly in the middle -- but that is probably because I'm not spreading the batter evenly, and mine have been thinner on the edges. I put the thermostat on a little lower than 4, and used the lights to help me know when to flip the crepes. It's like a hot plate, so I guess you could cook a lot of different things on it. It has a tiny edge to it to keep the crepe batter from going over the side. It's 13" in diameter, so you can make a large or a small crepe on it. I also used the crepe maker to cook some sliced apples for the crepes. I'm not sure if I'm going to cook onions or garlic on it, lest the flavors linger and make it impossible to make sweet crepes -- but I think that onions or garlic would probably be OK. It is easy to clean. The directions say to wash it with soap then wipe it with a wet towel, but I didn't want to risk getting soap or soap-flavor into my food. I've just used a wet paper towel and wiped it down until the paper towel no longer wipes off residue. It is VERY non-stick. You don't need to use a lot of oil or butter to grease the pan. The design seems to be pretty good. If you are careful, the crepe maker can be moved even while it's hot. Just remember to unplug it. You can turn the heat way down, but you have to unplug it to make it turn completely off.

I’ve been using this Proctor Silex Electric Crepe Maker for the first time, and it works exactly as I hoped. I love this crepe maker more than words! It heats up quickly ( a few minutes), so I can plug it in and let it warm up while mixing the crepes and in under 10 minutes can have a batch already cooked. It cooks evenly over the entire surface and is big, so I can cook Multiple things on it when not making crepes. I have owned another crepe maker previously ( still do), that Is hand held and you dunk the cooking surface Into a tray and it sticks to it so they come out appropriately thin. I always have a hard time getting them to come off nicely and end up making a mess. This particular one ( that I am reviewing) is so much easier. I just put the batter on and spread it with the spreader. The long stick thing makes it easy to turn them over and then remove them, and they come out perfect every time. I purchased this even though I already had something to use because some friends and I had been going out for crepes a lot and was getting expensive, so wanted a more commercial size to play recipe’s with. I have had it for a few months now, and use it almost daily, and it is perfect. I could not have done better. It was the least expensive one of this size I could find. The quality and easy of use has been amazing

So original bought this as a spare, extra crepe machine, turns out it became the main machine. Just because it’s light weight, fast heating, easy to clean. Really simple; turn on the switch, set the temperature, wait a few minutes, pure the batter , , Ms mye crepe. The only thing is that it’s only 13inch, if it were 16 inches it would have earn an 5 star. Nevertheless our 16 inches cost way more than this one, big in term of the cost; btw; if the seller see this; please contact mob e if you guys comes out with a 16inches.. would I buy it again; most definitely.

Love, love, love this! Crepes were perfect, I use it for near everything I can now, grilled cheese, bagels, eggs, quesadillas are the bomb on here taste like restaurant quality!! So easy to clean, wipe while hot! I can't say enough! The price was so affordable, it's about time you buy something within a good price range that actually works!!!

It works alright which is important. How long? I do not know because Amazon shipped me a used unit. Poor workmanship overall in terms of product quality. I had to clean previous spillage that was clearly showing on the bottom part. This is not a machine i will frequently use and more of a convenience of function and it is the only reason i will keep it. Amazon for all the money they make never bothered to put this in a shipping box and neither bothered to do the same for the accessories ordered. Packaging robots probably went on strike? …It would be appropriate for Amazon to inform the customer that this specific brand and unit listed here is not new and is a return and or used item. I tested my unit, it heats up and breaks circuit when it reaches the set temperature. This is all i need it to do. It will now go into a storage capsule as this is a unit intended for use/display in about 177 weeks… (a year for each day) Update: -- a few days later.... I will give the machine 5 stars. Flat bread, Rotis and Pancakes come out really well... better than I had expected.

Really pleased with this large crêpe maker. I find the tools very helpful that come with it. You can cook really hot on this and it heats up very quickly. I’ve never needed to get up to top heat. This would be great for eggs too. You can cook or reheat a lot of things on this as long as it’s not too greasy or full of liquid because the edge only has a slight lip. Even my husband‘s really pleased with it. I have learned to avoid buying these extra appliances that after the novelty wears off, we don’t use them anymore. But it won’t be that way for this item. Very handy. Works well. and homemade crêpes with tacos are better than any that you buy in the store!😀

La verdad es que muy contentos con esta crepera. La compramos de oferta sin mucha expectativa y funciona de maravilla. Fue la primera vez que hicimos crepas y, con el manual de recetas, la crepera y los accesorios que incluye: la palita y la taza medidora, fue más que suficiente para preparar unas crepitas de excelente sabor. Calienta muy bien, tiene varios niveles de calor y el antiadherente funciona también bien. Ninguna queja. De hecho, la caja muestra que también se puede usar para otros propósitos como freír carnita y tocino, pero preferimos usarla para lo que está pensada.

We cook pancakes, crepes .... all cook very easy on the ono-stick surface. Overall, this product is easy to control the temp, easy to clean, simple operations and store in a small space. I like this product to cook breakfast items. I assume it works just as well for a lunch crispy sandwich maker. The surface is nonstick and wipes down very easily. We have had it for a while and I would recommend it to.
