I actually carried this thing yesterday…
The media could not be loaded. …and it’s gotta be the largest pocket knife that you can still EDC inside a size 40 jeans/cargo pants side pocket when wearing a “tactical” belt. Seriously, it wasn’t too uncomfortable or conspicuous. Luckily, I live in a free state and can conceal carry a machete if I wanted to.So yeah, this is a big folding knife. Forget that… Benchmade Adamas is a “big folding knife”. This is a humongous folding knife! Other than the fact that you can actually EDC it, it’s also very impressive that if you’re careful and experienced with folding knives, you can operate it one handed. The ATLAS lock action on my copy came flawless and is somehow better than it is on my little (in comparison) Karve. With your fingers never crossing the path of the blade, you can pull back on the release tab with your index finger and swing the blade open with a little wrist flick. You can then pull on it again and fold the blade with another little wrist flick. The ATLAS lock seems to be a perfect fit for this knife as you really don’t ever want your fingers anywhere near where the edge is or could be.Seriously, this thing comes razor sharp and would go through a finger like a hot knife through the proverbial butter. For that reason, I can only recommend this knife to people who don’t have any dexterity or fine motor skills issues, are responsible enough not to play with it while impaired, know how to wield larger blades, and can lock this thing far away from their kids. Genuinely, this blade demands respect and constant vigilance because it’s almost as potentially dangerous as a firearm. One slip and its massive hospital bills and potential permanent disfigurement.Otherwise, this is one heck of a fun knife. It makes me smile every time I deploy the blade and is well designed, balanced, ergonomic, and wieldable. The fit and finish are also nice and the AUS10A blade steel is tough and stainless. I also appreciate the fact that the knife is lefty carry friendly. The price that I paid for this knife here on Amazon made it a “no brainer” purchase for me and I do highly recommend this knife to the right demographic.A couple of nitpicks:The handle fasteners are all the tiny T6 size, which strips easily and are almost absurd on a huge knife like this. Really Cold Steel? The ATLAS is a really cool new lock, offering a number of advantages over the classic Tri-AD. However, it is also rather brutal on the tip of your index finger due to the harsh geometry and jimping on the pull tab. Luckily, when I got this knife, my finger was already calloused thanks to playing with my Karve. So, it was easier. Still, it would be nice if they slightly redesigned that tab in order to make the lock more fidgety without pain involved.

Absolutely cool, XL knife.
When I first saw this, it was $300. But as it dipped below $200, I started considering getting it. It went down to $130 and I pounced. It's exceedingly smooth. If with the thumb studs this snaps open. The atlas lock has become easy to use, and gives you the ability to play with the knife like a benchmade, except it's nearly the size of a machete. The handle is very comfortable, offering a secure grip all along its length. There are no hot spots, and even the clip is pocket-friendly.The blade came laser sharp.

Cold steel fan
This is a big slab of malice intent, very stiff at first, but after a few drops of oil and some working in, it’s not bad very heavy as you would suspect, but an absolute beast it comes incredibly sharp like every cold steel I’ve ever bought. I tried the arm, shaving test and ended up cutting myself without even knowing it, it’s definitely something that takes up a huge amount of space in your pocket, but it goes without saying that this knife is definitely an attention getter. It is the second biggest knife I own the First being the Raju they are both two absolute units of folding knives without a doubt. This thing is a unique piece of my collection and definitely not want to be taken lightly both figuratively and literally it’s definitely not something I will carry every day, but it will definitely be in the rotation.

Atlas lock for the win
I finally own a usable Cold Steel knife. I own several Cold Steel knives and most of them are in the box sitting in a drawer because they are essentially useless due to that ridiculous Tri-ad lock. Sure, they open easily, but it is next to impossible trying to close them. This new Atlas lock is exactly what I’ve been waiting for. I can open and close this knife without any problems at all. Out of the box, the blade is razor sharp. It’s also a fairly heavy knife. It isn’t bigger than I expected, although it is larger than an average folding knife. Then again, if you’ve bought a Cold Steel before, you probably already know what to expect. The blade is polished, but not exactly shiny. It has more of a satin finish than a mirror finish, but still looks quite nice. In fact, I’d say the satin finish makes it a little less visible, which depending on where you live can be a good thing. You don’t want to freak people out when you open it in public. It fits perfectly in my pocket, although the clip is very tight which makes it difficult to slide onto my pocket. I really like the design. It has a nice aggressive look to it, but it is also very functional.I suppose if I had any complaint, it would be that I can’t change the clip orientation to make it tip down carry. It’s also worth mentioning that the knife came with some slight scratches on one side of the G-10 handle. It’s noticeable by me, I doubt anyone else would notice or care and it doesn’t affect its function. I wish it were perfect, but nothing is ever perfect. Anyway, this is the second Cold Steel I recommend getting. I have an Espada XL, which I think is one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen. It’s not practical unlike this knife. If you’re on the fence, or have had a bad experience with Cold Steel in the past, rest assured that this one is a banger. Its blade size, sharpness and ease of opening make it the best Cold Steel I’ve ever bought. Highly recommended!

What a fun knife to play with
This is a very dangerous knife, but if you’re skilled with knives you’ll love it. I get a smile every time I think about it. Surprisingly it fits good in my pocket, and I have carried it, with no problems. I think if. you had to pull it in self defense, the attacker would turn and run. It came very sharp, but I put my edge on it anyway, and it’s easy to put a new edge on it. I love it.
