Setup was simple, and although the included remote control responds well, it's easier to set up and customise via the LG Thinq smartphone app. If connected via HDMI/ARC to an LG smart TV, it can be turned on and off and volume can be changed via the TV remote, but there's around a 10 second delay and depending on the TV sound settings, some silence when starting up. I bought an optical cable and have it connected to that instead so that it's controlled separately from the TV (avoiding the delay).I've awarded 4 stars because I am a little disappointed with the lack of "forward facing" sound from the soundbar itself, and tone only allows for bass, mid and treble rather than a full EQ range, but the subwoofer and surround speakers sound awesome.Good overall. ## Frequently Bought Together - LG US40TR Bluetooth Soundbar with Wireless Subwoofer & Surround Sound 4.1 channel - LG OLED48C45LA 48-Inch OLED Evo 4K UHD Smart TV, (α9 AI Processor Gen7, Dolby Atmos, Freeview Play and Amazon Alexa, 120Hz), Umber Brown [Model 2024] --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/634666971-lg-us40tr-bluetooth-soundbar-with-wireless-subwoofer-and-surround-sound](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/634666971-lg-us40tr-bluetooth-soundbar-with-wireless-subwoofer-and-surround-sound) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-04*
