I bought this for my classroom and as a follow-up activity with my 8th graders after doing research on the history of cotton candy making. They absolutely loved it! It is very large, and heavy-duty, with no issues heating up or working properly for an entire day full of students making, making, and making some more. We used pieces of hard candy instead of sugars, and were able to do some pretty cool flavors (cinnamon!!). I did NOT buy the lid as it was, at the time, another $100, and that seems a bit excessive to me. A lid, however, would be very handy as bits of the candy/floss fly through the air and all over the walls--and you--not a deal breaker, and an easy clean, but definitely a mess. I recommend this product! Everybody loved it!

Works beautiful. Used upto 3 hours in one sitting. No problems. I would recommend getting the dome lid also, without it the cotton candy goes everywhere.

My husband had a childhood cotton candy machine My in laws bought in the early 90s, we had it until about 5 years ago when we finally blew out the motor. Since then we had tried replacing it with at home cotton candy makers, but things are not made to last or be used on a regular basis anymore. A year ago I finally decided to splurge & bought this commercial grade machine & i dont know what I had thought it would be, but its twice the size I was expecting. Again, my issue since I did not pay attention the dimensions. Aside from the size, this machine is great. It's quick and easy to use. It makes cotton candy within a minute of turning on. My one downside is it makes it so quickly that the strings of cotton candy fly everywhere. If you are using indoors & not in an enclosed cabinet, your best bet is to buy the dome to help contain the candy. The first use of this machine & i had cotton candy on my light fixtures, my husband was covered into strands of sugar & the floor and surrounding table was sticky.That being said, this machine is easy to clean & easy to use. The only thing its not, is easy to store. Pay attention to dimensions, but if your family loves cotton candy or you need it for events, it will not disappoint.

This works awesome and super easy to clean. I have 4 girls each a year apart from each other and I use it for sleep overs and parties!

Absolute piece of garbage. Sad that it will rot in a landfill. Mind you, Im a cotton candy business, so I wasn’t expecting much. However , I know people who use this for their business and I have no idea how they do it. It’s not even worth my time writing all the things that are wrong with it. Just don’t buy it. Buy a toy one and you’ll have better luck.
