Hell Difficulty Tutorial: A LitRPG Adventure

Rough start but get better and addictive
The start is the hardest part of this series. It feels like the author is discovering the MC along with us. But the writing quickly hits its stride and gets great.I binged this on Royal Road recently and find myself drawn to re-read the book again. It has that X-factor that makes a LitRPG endlessly readable and enjoyable. The MC starts in survival mode and as he gains power gets better in dealing with his insecurities and extroverts. Though this is a LitRPG this is the farthest thing from a number-go-up (in fact, only 1 number goes up). The MC is slightly unhinged and drives the story very, very well. The side characters start out a little weak but quickly stand on their own and are very well differentiated. Everyone sounds unique. The world building is done slowly and only as necessary as you discover the world together with this Tutorial group. All in all, if you like progression fantasy in any way, shape or form definitely read it. I would recommend this to regular fantasy readers as well because you discover the rules of this world so gradually along with the characters.Light Spoiler: This is Hell Difficulty, only the strong of will survive.

One of the best protagonists I have read in a long while
This story is all about Nathanila and how he reacts to a suddenly finding himself in a LIT RPG style apocalypse tutorial. His character is both absurd enough to make the story entertaining and just self aware enough to make him three dimensional and believable.A difinet read for fans of the style, who are tired of the same old litrpg apocalypse story and are looking for something new and interesting.

Good litRPG with proper power settings.
Definitely worth a read. It has some nice unique skills and overall power system is coherent. I like the world building part the most, it is simple enough to get going but has background details that emerge as story goes on.No proper romance as of now, although there are some attempts. Survival and becoming stronger is the main focus, but we also get some character growth time to time. I've enjoyed it so far.

One of the great ones
Pretty detailed world building. Simple, great and not so complicated litrpg mechanics. The magic system is vaguely induced which might irk a few people. But keeping the fictions aspects quite limited helps include many new readers I felt. Character building could be a bit more detailed. But the satire and bland humor makes everything else better.

Intricating world-building, captivating power-building, and a cool as heck protagonist! What's there not to love?! Highly recommended to all LitRPG lovers!

this book is awesome
Forget hard magic systems, this magic has me on the edge of my seat, everything is explained so well and it's so engaging. The main character is a bit of a wooden plank, but he seems to be getting better.

One of my favorite stories on Royal Road
Hell Difficulty Tutorial is one of my favorite stories on Royal Road. Very enjoyable and easy to become immersed in, with great plot, interesting characterization and fascinating worldbuilding.A bus with about 24 people is transported to an alien world with 2 suns, where they are forced to undergo something called a Hell Difficulty Tutorial. The upside is they all get powerful skills and the chance to level up. The downside is they're all endangered, not just by the increasingly lethal monsters and environment, but by all the other humans, who are all eager to survive and not too scrupulous on how that happens.Hell Difficulty Tutorial is told mostly from the 1st person perspective of Nathaniel Gwyn, a young man with an unusual personality. Inside, he's snarky. To others, though, he presents as emotionless and uncaring.Nat's ruthless facade grows stronger as the Tutorial becomes more dangerous. Nat becomes one of the people most willing to take risks and push himself to grow stronger, and who is willing to use pain and extortion and blackmail to keep himself alive.Note that Nat is not alone in using less than noble tactics against his fellow humans.
