Bosch Professional Forstner Drill Bit (for Wood, Ø 24 mm, length 90 mm, drill accessories)

Purchased this drill bit, as had to drill the correct hole size into 12 x new pieces of wood, in order to attach 12 new sofa feet. Would of been way too easy to have unhooked the corner sofa into 2 pieces to move it....no just drag it around and shear 2 x wooden legs clean off it.... Had to replace all 12 legs(pouffe took 4) as couldnt find the exact same legs, and because I had to add 2 x 1 inch squares of wood for the 2 sheared off legs....I then had to do all of them, so that the sofa would be level. This drill bit is fantastic to work with, it was precisely the size I needed to fit the round leg screwin piece of metal. Solid and great quality. Comes in its own plastic dome case. Well worth the money.

I needed this to drill holes for deck ropes and debated buying a much cheaper set with multiple sizes to give me more options. Went for this, and very glad I did. The Bosch quality is unmistakeable. The first cut was clean and sharp - but so was the 30th! No way I would have had that performance from a cheaper drill bit. I probably won't need this bit again, but good to know there is probably still plenty of life left in it. I'm sure a cheaper drill bit would have chewed up my deck posts and made them look horrible, right when I was finishing off the job. Well worth spending a fairly hefty sum on the right tool for the job to get a beautiful finish - no regrets.

I bought a big pack of mid-range Forster bits a few months ago, and after realising it didn't have this size which I needed for fitting some dowel, I looked this bit up. I was a bit miffed at how much it cost, but after comparing how smoothly and evenly it cuts compared to my cheaper ones, I'm gonna gradually replace them all with quality bits like this. It didn't clog in various softwoods or some old English oak, I only had one small bit of tear out on the oak, but I think that was partly the age of the wood. Cut through the wood like butter with no burn marks unlike my cheaper ones. Comes in a tough little plastic case like router bits tend to, shame you can't stack it though. But maybe a proper storage case can be my next project.

Has seen a lot of use in hard and soft woods and retains its sharp edge. Allows me to hand drill large holes in places I cannot use a pillar drill This drills holes of the correct size unlike some other makes that drill oversize holes. Cons Not cheap but the pros for me outweigh the cost

Good sharpe drill bit used a few times seems ok

Used this to drill out for my tenons on a couple of doors. Effective & accurate with it having a point.
