Aloe Kote SPF 25 Lip Balm, Aloe Vera, Alcohol-Free, 2-Pack

I started using this product as out 30 years ago. It has been the best product for my lips. It actually keeps them healed and protects from the sun. Unlike some lip products it doesn't make your lips worse and need to put on all the time.

This lip balm hasn't helped my lips at all after radiation sunburn and dryness. I'm in a lot of pain.

After removal of skin cancer of my lip, I needed a creamy lip balm with sunscreen. I avoided purchasing the stick kind as they are too hard. I was expecting this product to be soft like Vasoline but it is not which is disappointing.

I've tried this once on my lips and can't use it again because it burns my skin. I'm not super sensitive and have experienced no problems with lip balms with sunscreen from Vacation and Sun Bum that have avobenzone (as well as many facial sunscreens with avobenzone) so it's not a sensitivity to that particular ingredient. I've also used eos and Hempz formulas with different ingredients. The only lip balm with sunscreen that affected me like this was by Palmer's and had octinoxate. Aloe Kote doesn't list ingredients for this formula in its description or on its packaging but does say on its main Amazon store page "oxybenzone and octinoxate free" so I'm really not sure what the deal is, but I can't use this for my mouth and am reluctant to try it anywhere else. Since I primarily wanted this as a lip balm, I'm disappointed. As positives, I can report that this is hard to get into at first but then it does go on nicely and feels good (before the burning starts!). It looked hard and waxy at first and I thought it would be problem but it warmed up and melted after a moment then appeared totally clear. I will see if someone else in my household is able to use this, but I wouldn't get it again.

I had had used it before, couldn't find it anywhere, finally found it on Amazon. I get sun blisters when I don't put this on, motorcycle rider and boater.
