dispensable
I bought this based on the good reviews, and because I miss the PMG. The sound of this CD is not good, especially at the start where you even hear the guys talking etc. It somehow gets better as the concert unfolds. There is not much new compared to "the road to you", and the solo in "third wind" is completely massacred by Pat, who does not sound in such good shape that evening. Overall, this is only for the completists, and I regret buying it since Pat is so meticulous with his own production ... this sounds really lame even for a non authorized bootleg. There are a few better bootlegs out there.

A must for Metheny Group fans
In my opinion the best Pat Metheny Group live album as it has familiar tracks and for base lovers a great base line crisp and clear running trough every track. A must for Metheney fans of 80's classics

better than the official release
This live American concert in 1992 emerged on cd at about the same time as the Geffen release "The road to you" which was culled from PMG's european concerts in the early 90's.While this current selection may not quite equal that release in the quality of the sound, it is a much better live performance overall. There are a couple of small blips in the performance but this is live and taken from one concert. Raw Metheny but edge of your seat performance. The tracks on the disc are:-have you heardevery summer nightbetter days aheadlast train homeif i couldspring ain't herestraight on redmiuano (6/8)third windThe personel are:- Metheny/Mays/Rodby/Wertico/Marcal/AznarThe concert was recorded live in the USA in 1992 at what venue we are sadly not informed.

mainly fine
Pat, again show hýs innovative playing and facinating illusions on human sense of hearing. Personally I didn't think about playlist much but ýt's surely feels good to listen this album. On the Oter hand, pat again handles musýc in a transformative format so that sometimes it can convert itself into a group-played or an orchestra-played country essenced jazz but no saturation from this. Finally, general performance is no less than the other albums.
