Letter From Home

This is typical of Pat Metheny with what I class as laid back jazz/world fusion. Mellow guitar over a wall of vocals used as instruments and piano, keyboards and bass. It's different enough from other albums to warrant buying it, but still very recognisable as a Pat Metheny production.

Having owned a lot of Pat Matheney albums and never been disappointed with the exception of 'Zero Tolerance for Silence' (what was that one all about it?) This is a superb album well textured with beautiful, and in places, unusual arrangements. Buy it.

Simply one of the best Pat Metheny albums. If you love PM and you don't have this album then your missing a gem.

always wanted CD of this - great album

Love listening to this, so does my neighbour who borrowed it when ill after hearing late at night after id fallen asleep to it in armchair.

I bought the LP of this when it came out years ago and recently puchased the CD to remind myself just how good Pat Metheny is at his best. This album sounds just as good as when I first heard it - timeless and memorable.

This was an opportunity to familiarise myself with what Pat Metheny has to offer and this cd certainly does not disappoint.

Originally had this on cassette so thought it time I had it on CD. Sounds even more brilliant than before! One of Metheny's classic recordings.
