Product description
6 sachets (1 gram each) of of mesophilic milk kefir starter culture. One packet is suitable for 1L of milk. Reculturing is possible for up to 10 batches per sachet of starter culture. COMPLETE DIRECTIONS IN IMAGES: Clean and dry a glass container and jar before adding milk. Make sure the container is not straight out of the dishwasher as it may be too hot and will destroy the starter culture. Add starter culture to the container and add a portion of the milk. Stir for 30-60 seconds with a clean spoon before adding the rest of the milk. Seal your container/Screw on lid. Set aside on your kitchen counter. You may cover with a tea towel. Avoid direct sunlight. You may flip the container/jar 2-3 times in the course of a 24h period. Sometimes the starter cultures like to be agitated. Your milk kefir will be ready in 24 hours. You can let it culture a bit longer if you want. Store in fridge and consume within 5 days. The cool temperature in the fridge will slow down the culturing process. IMPORTANT: Max incubation temperature 34ºC - Reculture for up to 10 batches. Store in refrigerator or freezer to extend expiration date. Kefir starter is NOT SUITABLE for yogurt makers. Excellent value but very mild...
This starter culture is excellent value for money compared to other leading brands here on Amazon. It ferments more easily than the other brand I tried and is a lot easier than grains especially for goats milk. I'm just not sure the strains are as potent as the other brand — it's a lot milder which is great for the tastebuds but not sure it's quite so great for countering of the bad bacteria.

Easy starter kit
Really easy to use- I've made a few batches now with dairy milk and dairy/plant milk blends for a selection and they've all worked beautifully following the instructions. Much more simple than using kefir grains for people who don't want to produce massive quantities

Not worth it if it’s not going to work
I had bought this product before, three at a time and successfully made kefir at home. I bought 6 this time and 3 times tried making kefir the same way as I had before but each time the kefir curdled and went sour so I couldn’t use it. I gave up and haven’t bothered using the last three.

Don’t bother
Didn’t work at all the first one split and was unusable the second one never worked at all. Really disappointed as I have been using this product for ages with no problems but this batch is rubbish

No instructions
No instructions as to how much milk to use with the sachet - even on the website as per the directions on the packet

Poor product
Very poor. Makes a REALLY weak culture. Will never buy again. I see now it says here use 1 sachet for 1 litre milk but it gives no guidance as to quantity either on the packet or the website and no way to contact the producer either
