I bought this product after a long search for snake gaiters that provided the best coverage. For those of you out there who have been eying the top-of-the-foot flap, It definitely covers most of my foot! The flaps that wrap around your leg also have an overlap area that provides thicker protection. I also got these to double as shin armor for airsoft. I gave these a good look-over, and i especially took a look at all the stitching. the stitching looked and felt durable. and for those of you who are DIYers, it would be a pretty easy fix if a seam did come out due to wear. another thing that i looked at was the straps that go across the pad of your shoe. They feel durable, but there is no way to avoid them wearing out. They did have on feature that I overlooked: they have velcro on the inside! I have seen many different types of velcro, and these felt like they are a heavier-duty type. when I put them on, they felt really sturdy. they were relatively easy to put on-just two velcro strips, two straps to clip in, and the two buckles on the bottom. they are extremely adjustable, and fit on my small calves no problem. I definitely would recommend these for teens and older though. they are very comfortable, while only hindering the kneeling down a tiny bit. I'm sure that with time, it is possible to break them in to be more comfortable. These are a great value for your money, and while I hope they never get tested by a snake, I am confident that they would stop the snake bite.

Good fit and seems to be good quality. Works like they are supposed to so far.

I would rather wear snake proof boots but I can’t pull on the boots, even a pair I had with zippers. My legs cramp up when pulling the boots in. So these gaiters are the next best things. No doubt they will foil any snakes fangs. First thing I did was put on my ankle high hiking boots and then put on the gaiters and made all the adjustments. Now that they are “fitted” I am all set. Nice thick material and well made. I like them.
