Question 1

I can't find the volume for this container. is it 2 quarts?

Accepted Answer

Hi Amber,The maximum suggested volume is 1.5 quarts, although we suggest first experimenting with a little less than that so that you can see how your ice cream expands. Honestly, it'd not really be possible to fill it with 2 quarts of ice cream. Would a large size container be something that would interest you? We're always looking for feedback. Thanks,Keith - Founder of SUMO

Question 2

Is it bpa free

Accepted Answer

Yes, our ice cream container is BPA-free. The lid, outer, and inner tub parts are made from a polypropylene plastic. The grip at the bottom of the outside tub part is made from a material known as thermoplastic elastomer rubber. All of these materials are completely free of BPA. Thanks for posting the question. Thanks,Keith - Founder of SUMO

Question 3

Is there any other colors besides purple?

Accepted Answer

Not yet! It's our intention to offer all of our SUMO products in purple, blue, red, and green. For the tub, we hope to have the other colors available in early 2017. Which colour would you like to see us have LMenke? We're thinking about some new colour options too, including pink! Thanks for the question,Keith - Founder of SUMO

Question 4

How do i get the inner tub out? just got mine with no instructions. also, is it dishwasher safe? can't wait to make some peach ice cream!

Accepted Answer

Hi,The product is actually made of three parts in total: the lid, inner tub, and outer tub. The inner tub can be removed from the outer tub. The two parts are not fixed together but are designed to make a tight fit to help with the insulation. I find that if I slightly squeeze the outer tub, this can help release some of the grip between the two parts. If you really struggle, or if a part were to break, please do let me know. It may be that your item has a minor production defect, and I'd be happy to send you out a replacement if so.The container is completely dishwasher safe and is backed by our lifetime guarantee.Peach ice cream sounds delicious! Pretty different, too. Enjoy!Regards,Keith, Founder of SUMO
