Brooklyn, NY's Exit music comprised of Devon Church and Aleksa Palladino (of HBO's 'Boardwalk Empire') will release their debut album, Passage, on May 22nd. Passage is a collection of newly-written songs and some of their older tunes that received some new coats of paint. Here, the two tethers that make up Exit music's sound one stirring atmospherics, one of grandiose and thoughtful pop are let to bow further out than before. They are, however, also pulled into a tighter, sharper knot at the center.

Enter the Wonder
I found 'Exitmusic' while listening to me 'Sigur Ros' station on pandora- and boy was I blown away. This duo performs with so much emotion, I found myself lost in their created wonderland. The musical arcs of their music is simply amazing- and extreme-There is so much to say- but its hard to put into words this level of beauty. If you like Sigur Ros and progressive rock- or even appreciate goosebump-inducing combonations and fascinating music- pick them up and spend some time getting lost.It is time well spent.

Chilling and thrilling
Imagine a world where Conor Oberst was born, in Iceland, as a woman. She ended up fronting Sigur Ros instead of Jonsi. The band decided Iceland wasn't depressing enough and, along with producer Trent Reznor, moved into a remote studio in Siberia to record an album. Actress Aleksa Palladino (Boardwalk Empire) and her husband come close to that on this dark, cold, intense album that instantly became a favorite of mine.

Pleasantly haunting. The vocals dig into my brain, the pounding music beats like a heart. Great stuff.
Great album. It's winter now, the album is the perfect sound track for these cold, isolated days. Her voice calls me like a siren. I listen to it every morning on my commute, and have been since November. At some point I will stop listening to it as much as I do. Until then, it is like a book I want to read over and over. Hoping for a follow up album from these folks. Great stuff.

neither good nor bad
She has something special in Boardwalk Empire, so I thought it might be worth the chance to see if it commuted to her musical efforts. It is what it is, neither good nor bad, but magic eludes it.

Love it!
This is album is full of subtle comtempory music that I would recommend to anyone to listen while working on hobbies or any of the arts such drawing. It can be really inspiring with any moods you are going for your work. I wouldn't recommend putting it on while reading though as it can be very distracting. But do listen to some of the songs before buying it as it may not be to everyone's taste.
