I have a raised garden in horse troughs to protect it from my desert buddies. Lately it has been attacked by birds and squirrels. My new little seedlings and spinach were constantly being eaten. This was the answer and very fast and easy to install, with a little garden fabric my seedlings are thriving. I get to enjoy my garden and share with family and friends. I think the bonus is protection from our summer sun in AZ. Love it!!

The green rods for this kit fit easily into the metal connectors. Almost too easily because I had some fall out while carrying and installing. I have used a similar kit from another brand where the rods fit more snug into the connectors. This makes them stay together much better but makes connecting and disconnecting more difficult. If you need easy connecting and disconnecting then use this kit. If you want them to stay together very well, then use kit from RIFNY brand.The green clips work well but are difficult to install onto the rods because they don’t open up much even when you squeeze them open. They snap to the rods well and hold firm even in high winds. I used these with 1.77 oz freeze cloth and it did not tear when I installed the clips. Thinner materials may get torn. The RIFNY kit has metal clips that are easy to install and remove. The green clips are connected in pairs but you could cut the connection and apply them in more places. That might be useful in some situations.Overall this is a good kit. I would buy again for my particular situation.

I have two elevated gardening beds and these poles work fantastic to create row covers over them. I’ve used them for frost cloth and fully expect to use them for shade cloth later this season. I do not use the included clips to hold the cloth as it was a little thick and made the clips sort of a pain. I have a bunch of garden clips so not an issue for me. Still well worth the price, I would definitely recommend them. I’m in the SW, so it will be interesting to see how they hold up to the brutal sun and dry air. I also love the fact that when you aren’t using them they store in A small box!

The item arrived quickly but was missing a major component (the metal connectors that make the pieces into garden hoops). The replacement item arrived immediately and is complete. I like this system because you can add a segment and make the hoops taller without taking the whole thing apart as plants grow. The green clips are flimsy and too small to work with shade cloth. I haven't tried them with insect mesh yet. I don't think they would work with a winter cover as those tend to be thicker.

This item is nothing like what they show. Cheap, super thin rods and on top of the completely false advertising they charged us $6.99 to return the items that were nothing like they show or describe. Worst purchase ever!

These hoops worked perfectly for some netting I purchased to keep a neighbor’s cats out of my garden (& the netting off of my plants). Amazon might recommend some hooks, I would trust Amazon and get those hooks. You won’t be sorry. But these hoop-making fittings and fiberglass rods are great. They’re easy to work with to create the custom garden hoop(s) you need. Any spare rods can also be used treeling crutch (for lack of a better description). My only regret was not ordering more at the time.
