ShanBenTang Incense Sticks Classical Chinese Incense, Ancient Wisdom, Aroma of Thousands of Years ago （5.5in）

I look forward to sitting in my study to work and think. The incense is 'lit up' like a small ceremony immediately drawing me down to relaxation. A little harsh like flexing muscles during a long run up a steep hill. I like it. I was never one for strange incense smells in people's homes in the past; but I live alone with a German Shepherd indifferent to my ways. Try it once as you might be surprised what Asians have been doing for 8,000 years to bring calm.

It appears to be clean burning, and smells ok but I don't find the value for the price. It's like a lot of the Tibetan-style incense in that it has an underlying bland (charcoal/wood?) scent that (for me) detracts from the true aroma. Take my review with a grain of salt as I'm more picky than most. There's nothing wrong with this incense.

This incense evokes the feelings of the Chinese Tea Ceremony.It was especially delightful to burn it while drinking my green tea.It has a nice Chinese feel to it like the film "Raise the Red Lantern"I recommend this incense if you want to enhance your tea drinking experience.

Basically no different than far cheaper brands of Asian made incense (like the Japanese brand, Shoyeido). This particular incense smells less fragrant though ... and I'm trying to be nice ... because really, it smells like burnt wood similar to a house on fire. My throat actually feels like it's cracking. But hey, if that's what "classic Chinese incense from a thousand years ago" smelled like, you're in for a treat!Nice box, but small sticks.

Great incense, reminds me of the type found in Nepal or Tibet. Wonderful and pure scent. No heavy smoke. Would suggest for serious incense lovers! <><

I burn this one when I mediate. It’s rather expensive for me but it really smells like “Ancient Wisdom”.
